Request assistance from Care Coordinator, Supervising Nurse or Manager if unsure how to care for or handle a resident situation. Reports to supervisor when no resident services are scheduled. Assist residents to be as independent as the resident's abilities allow. Know, uphold and follow Resident Rights and Code of Conduct policies. Report to the Manager any situation where the rights of a resident may have the probability of being violated. Only provide confidential information regarding residents to the Manager, or other health care professional as directed by your supervisor, according to an emergency situation. Understand special needs of 65 and over group (e.g., possible loss of vision, hearing, memory, etc.); ability to effectively communicate and provide services for these age groups. Position: House Manager Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Location: Canal Winchester, OH Job Summary House Managers oversee the smooth operation of a consumers home. They are responsible for monitoring the staff (DSPs) work with our individuals by creating daily plans, documentation, self-care skills, cooking meals and/or helping in the home. Responsibilities Manages the home in adherence to all Federal, State, and local guidelines. Monitors the safety and health needs of the individuals served. Orients, trains, and monitors job performance of the Direct Support Provider. Monitors house staff schedules and ensures equitable coverage. Covers shifts (on call 24hours per day 7 days a week) if staff calls off and no other coverage can be found. Keeps a log of call-offs. Point of contact for house staff. Capability to manage and perform effectively in potentially stressful situations. Keeps inventory of household needs such as groceries and cleaning supplies. Maintains financial records (receipts) of client purchases and monitors budget (if applicable) Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and addressing as assigned. Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner for quality assurance. Reports changes in the client's condition and needs to the director of operations and/or staff nurse. Performs household services essential to health care in the home. Helps plan and coordinate client appointments. Assist with shopping for groceries and preparing meals according to client dietary needs. Helps clients set daily goals, outcomes, and encourages social and community engagement. Assist with medication administration if applicable. Helps clients to keep and maintain a safe and clean environment in the home. Responsible for reporting any safety issues or concerns in the home. Requirements Highschool Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License CPR & First Aid Certified (Provided by the company) DSP Certification (Provided by the company) Effective communication skills Pass a background and drug test. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to workdays, evenings, overnights, and weekends based upon the needs of the designated site. Critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities 2-5 years of work experience in a leadership role. Lifting Requirements Ability to participate in physical activities. Mobility to do periodic bending, lifting, and standing during shift. Ability to assist clients sitting up or down within range of motion (if applicable).
