Job DescriptionAs a Control Room Support Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of coffee roasting processes. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling large-scale roasters, managing quality assurance checks, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. This role requires keen attention to detail, independent work ethic, and the ability to follow protocols precisely to prevent financial loss. Responsibilities:
Monitor and control coffee roasting operations from the control room.
Conduct quality assurance checks, including color, moisture, density, and grind analysis.
Perform and document all HACCP checks to ensure compliance.
Assist in scheduling green bean receiving, roasting, and grinding operations.
Manage bin capacities to optimize production efficiency.
Perform sanitation, housekeeping, rework, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Assist in thermal cleaning of the roaster, pelletizer maintenance, and dust collection system cleaning.
Participate in changeovers and document film usage, rejected materials, and rework.
Communicate control room issues with the Control Room Operator and other departments as needed.
Verify case counts at the completion of production runs.
Make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Food manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic computer operation skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Quality assurance experience is a plus.
Ability to follow strict protocols to prevent production loss.
