Job Description As a Foundry TIG/MIG Welder, you must be able to pass standard industry weld tests in various alloys and weld techniques. GTAW and GMAW. Identify casting defects, remove defects through grinding or arc gauging, and repair defects in accordance with documented weld procedures.Responsibilities:
Identify and repair weld defects on various sizes of castings made from various grades of steel, iron and bronze using electric welders.
Blend weld deposits
Use of assorted handheld pneumatic grinders to match casting contours and shapes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Pass standard industry weld tests in various alloys and weld techniques
High school diploma or equivalent
3 - 5 years' TIG/ MIG welding experience or advanced education in welding from a technical or trade school
Industrial Math
Strong degree of mechanical aptitude
