General Description The Occupational Therapist provides early intervention services utilizing occupational therapy expertise, family- and community-centered practices, and a strong focus on infant feeding, oral motor skills, and nutrition. This role ensures families have the tools and guidance to foster their child's early development, while working in mobile, community-centered environments using electronic and web-based documentation. The OT will work primarily with infants and young children, supporting developmental milestones, feeding, sensory, and motor needs. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Assessment Conduct comprehensive assessments of motor development, feeding, oral motor skills, and assistive technology/adaptive equipment needs. Evaluate feeding abilities, including oral motor function, swallowing, and positioning. Complete ongoing assessment per system policy, documenting feeding progress, developmental milestones, and other OT-related needs. Intervention Provide evidence-based interventions per the IFSP, with a central focus on infant feeding, oral motor, sensory, and motor development. Integrate feeding interventions into daily routines in natural environments. Address oral motor, sensory, and swallowing needs in infants and toddlers. Serve as primary provider for assigned children while utilizing team-based consultation as needed. Implement early childhood best practices considering the whole child, including feeding, motor development, and developmental milestones. Teaming Participate in team meetings and 1:1 consultations as requested by the transdisciplinary team. Partner with parents and professionals to create and implement individualized feeding and developmental plans. Participate in IFSP reviews and support smooth transitions from Part C to Part B or other community services. Parent Support Coach and empower parents to implement feeding interventions and strategies in natural environments. Educate families on safe feeding practices, oral motor exercises, and nutrition for infants and toddlers. Foster family leadership and respect cultural and linguistic diversity. Adhere to procedural safeguards under Part C of IDEA. Administration Complete all documentation related to occupational therapy services, including feeding assessments, interventions, and progress notes. Maintain professional continuing education with emphasis on infant feeding, sensory, and motor development. Mentor contracted therapists and Early Intervention Specialists; develop continuing education and training modules. Perform driving responsibilities as required; maintain a valid CO driver's license and minimum insurance coverage ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000). Complete targeted case management (TCM) activities per CMS and DDD rules, as appropriate. Preferred: Three years working with young children in a transdisciplinary team model. Strong knowledge of infant feeding, oral motor skills, sensory integration, and early childhood nutrition. Education and Experience Requirements Minimum: BA in Occupational Therapy and Colorado licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist. Knowledge of Part C of IDEA, natural environments, daily routines, evaluation techniques, and infant/child feeding best practices. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to facilitate group meetings and collaborate with parents and professionals. Knowledge of community resources and supports available to families. Experience working with infants and young children with special needs. Intermediate level of computer application and mobile technology expertise. Preferred: MA in Occupational Therapy. Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements. Role Overview: As a Behavioral Health Therapist on the Mobile Crisis team, you will serve as an integral member of the service delivery team, providing comprehensive support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Essential Duties: Providing on-going crisis assessments, crisis intervention techniques, conduct de-escalation, safety planning, and maintaining clinical records and other reporting data for clients with mild to severe mental health and/or substance use disorders. Perform case management services as needed to assist clients to meet their goals as stated in their service/treatment plans. Refer clients to supportive services such as vocational, medical, social security, housing authority, etc. Conduct crisis intervention via telephone and/or face-to-face. Intervene and de-escalate crisis situations with clients. Assess the risk of harm to self or others, create comprehensive safety plans, and arrange needed resources.
