A. AQUATICSTHE GOAL OF THE Y'S AQUATIC PROGRAM IS TO DEVELOP COMPETENT AND CONFIDENT SWIMMERS BY TEACHING THE LIFE SKILLS OF SWIMMING. THE PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO AGE GROUPS, AND CHILDREN MOVE THROUGH THE LEVELS AT THEIR OWN PACE AS THEIR ABILITIES AND SKILLS GROW. ADVANCED LESSONS AND TEAM PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE BOYS AND GIRLS WITH PARTICULAR ENTHUSIASM FOR SWIMMING. TEAM PROGRAMS ENCOMPASS ALL AGES AND LEVELS OF ABILITY, FROM BEGINNERS TO OLYMPIC COMPETITORS. THE PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED TO PROVIDE CAREFUL DEVELOPMENT AND STEADY PROGRESSION THROUGH THE STAGES OF COMPETITIVE SWIMMING. Y AQUATIC PROGRAMS HELP INDIVIDUALS DEVELOP SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SELF-RESPECT, DEVELOP CORE VALUES, GROW AS RESPONSIBLE MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES, APPRECIATE HEALTH OF THE MIND AND BODY AND DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT AFFORD THE REGULAR FEES.
