The Road Home culture

  • What makes The Road Home a great place to work

The Road Home relies on a diverse staff to provide excellent care and service to the hundreds of people we help each day. We envision people moving seamlessly from the cold streets into warm housing; from despair and alienation toward home and inclusion. We envision a community that recognizes the inherent dignity of those who live in poverty and homelessness. The Road Home will collaborate with all of our partners to realize this vision as we actively incorporate our core values in our daily work. Our Core Values: Equal Treatment: We are committed to providing equal treatment to all who come to us in need. Compassion: We will nurture our love for humanity within each of our relationships and interactions. Respect: Respect will be the cornerstone of our conduct. Dignity: We value the innate human dignity of every person.
  • What The Road Home does to give back to the community

The Road Home remains deeply committed to: being a safe refuge for people otherwise living on the streets and extremes of weather; providing supportive services to help people connect to community resources; supporting people in their successful transition out of shelter into housing, as quickly as possible; and operating permanent housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness for various lengths of time.

Pros of working at The Road Home

I like knowing that the work I do everyday is impacting our community, and that the people I work with are committed to making a difference. The overall company culture is positive…I feel supported and heard, and encouraged to do better everyday.

The Road Home benefits

The people we serve and the people I work with are phenomenal! One “technical” benefit I throughly enjoy is that my partner can be on my insurance (we are not married) and that they offer tuition reimbursement.
