Responsibilities
Plan and implement with room staff team a curriculum that will address both individual children's and group needs appropriately utilizing the Early Childhood Partnership program curriculum.
Support, Supervise, role model, and encourage the professional development of all child care staff and volunteers through team meetings, shared program planning and day to day interactions.
Monitor and maintain the classroom environment to include attendance, cleanliness, minor repairs, health and safety issues, inventory and properly supplied and equipped daily.
Will assess and monitor the developmental level of each child, conduct Early Childhood Partnership program assessments and facilitate referral(s) for evaluations as necessary.
Ensure completion of all paperwork on a timely basis including but not limited to attendance, meal counts, lesson plans, daily health checks, fire drill records, narratives and daily notes.
Assist in the orientation and training of staff members regarding room, center and agency policies procedures and expectations.
Participate in meetings to include initial orientations, supervision, team meetings, staff meetings, in-services and training sessions with Syracuse City School District and Partnership programs.
Engage in ongoing teacher/parent communication to facilitate parent participation and involvement.
Demonstrate cultural competence, as well as integrate understanding into daily responsibilities and participate in meeting the objectives of The Salvation Army, Syracuse Area Services Strategic Plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education Required.
Must have an active NYS Teacher Certification, eligible for the $1500 licensed teacher supplement.
Minimum of one year experience working with children ages 3 to 5 years old.
Must meet NYS/Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations requirements.
Must meet health standards for OCFS licensing, be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to participate in all developmentally appropriate activities.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Social Care Network Coordinator (SCNC) is responsible for effectively supporting the organization's engagement with Finger Lakes Social Care Network (FLIPA) within the assigned target areas and reach, and under the leadership of the Family Programs Director. Priority focus will be the screening and referral of clients, provision of direct services through communications with clients received through the FLIPA, and case support as needed to ensure clients processed through the HVSCN are appropriately served. This will require the SCNC work cooperatively with the Divisional Social Services Director to determine work priorities, evaluate client needs and deliver services, and provide reporting and other information internally and through the WeLinkCare database platform. ● Provide accurate and complete data entry consistently via the WeLinkCare platform

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Senior Enhanced Care Manager will serve as coordinator of the Care Manager team and as the direct point of contact for Medicaid Members with ongoing HRSNs (health-related social needs). Care Manager Responsibilities:
Provide case/care management to Medicaid Members seeking assistance from Salvation Army Centers, including screening, assessment, social care plan, and direct service delivery related to specific health-related social needs as identified by Social Care Network.
Manage incoming referrals for enhanced HRSN services, within required timeframes, to ensure successful and timely connections are made for community members.
Assess clients for Level 1 and Level 2 services. Conduct and document outreach to Members in alignment with required frequency, modality, and timeframe.
Maintain caseload levels to sustain position through SCN billable activities within 3 months.
Conduct HRSN screening using the Accountable Health Communities (AHC) screening tool to assess member HRSNs. Manage Member consent and attestation as required.
Conduct eligibility assessments and refer Members to eligible programs and services, including enhanced HRSN services (Level 2) and/or existing federal, state, and local resources (Level 1).
Develop social care plans that include a summary of Member needs, eligibility, and services to which they are referred. Update the service plan throughout engagement.
Document progress notes and action taken with each referral and service provision. Provide accurate and complete data entry consistently via the SCN client database platform.
Operate out of the primary location and provide Care Management support to Salvation Army centers across the SCN footprint; some/minimal travel to other Salvation Army sites as needed.
Engage Corps leadership team, case management staff and food program staff as needed.
Communicate regularly with Divisional Headquarters Social Services team to discuss program progress, solve problems, share detailed feedback on successes and challenges of the project, and continually look for opportunities to enhance the community member experience.
Complete all initial and ongoing training as required for SCN; participate in annual professional development training.
Represent The Salvation Army at SCN and other community meetings as appropriate or assigned; attend Salvation Army staff meetings.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
This position involves very little operational responsibility. It is an external-facing, community relations position. It is a huge plus if the successful candidate has established connections within the community.
This position is responsible for supporting region-led mission capacity building, informing the regional leadership team of community needs and perceptions, and strengthening relationships across all elements of the community by communicating the American Red Cross programs, capabilities and opportunities for community involvement.
Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the position serves as the primary liaison to the community supported by Community Volunteer Leaders and the Chapter Board. This position works alongside the volunteers and employees assigned to deliver mission fulfillment in the Region and Chapter and is a member of the Region Leadership Team.
This is accomplished through the following key areas of responsibility:
1. Serves as the Face of the Red Cross to maximize Red Cross presence and connectivity in the community and expand the community's recognition of the breadth of the Red Cross contribution to the community.
2. Develops sustained community relationships to ensure capacity to achieve region mission goals.
3. Develops and manages the chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission.
4. Develops and manages community volunteer leaders to: serve as the Face of the Red Cross in assigned territories; to support mission capacity building by developing key community partnerships; and to recruit volunteers.

Revenue: ED to lead the chapter in supporting achievement of region revenue target, including support of Sound the Alarm events/STA fundraising target achievement (as applicable) and board member external solicitation goals; and meets assigned individual fundraising target by cultivating strong United Way relationships (as applicable), meeting annual chapter board member giving campaign, and maintaining a small number of key donor accounts as defined by the Regional Executive.
2.b. Mission Capacity Building: Supports achievement of the region volunteer engagement goals, blood collection goals, and community engagement mission goals by identifying and stewarding specific strategic relationships in the community and serving as a connector for internal stakeholders for these activities. Leverages the board mission capacity committee, biomed committee, diversity committee, and community volunteer leaders to meet established goals.
3. Develops and manages the chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission. The chapter board must meet all published board guidance for board membership, committees, and member engagement in the mission
(has all required committees; board engagement plan completed for all board members using template provided; board members understand board member giving expectations and personally meet board member give and solicitation expectations).
4. Develops, leads, and manages community volunteer leaders who are responsible for serving as the Face of the Red Cross in assigned territories; supporting mission capacity building by developing key community partnerships.
5. Influences to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion to effectively deliver against the Red Cross mission by ensuring that information flow is facilitated. The Executive Director informs the regional team, as well as volunteers and staff assigned to the chapter area, of community needs and communicates the American Red Cross programs and capacity needs to the community.
6. Serves as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network supporting disaster responses in the chapter area, regional area and nationally. May be asked to deploy to disasters outside the chapter jurisdiction for up to 2 weeks.
The salary range for this position is (New York): $85,000 - $100,000.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Four-year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance or non-profit administration or equivalent experience required. Prefer Master's degree in the field of community organization, public or business administration or non-profit management.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience. Demonstrated ability to exercise good and timely judgment in complex situations.
