ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Follow daily routing directions and avoid going off route without exception, unless directed by the Transportation Supervisor or their designee. Manage time daily to ensure route is completed within the approved work schedule. Routes are to be 100% completed each day, without exception, unless approved by the Transportation Supervisor or their designee. Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of assigned truck. Assist in the safe loading or unloading of other trucks as requested. Handle all donated material with safe handling procedures and assigned personal protective equipment at all times. Donations must be handled properly to ensure they return damage free to their destination. Train, instruct and supervise truck helper in their WTA, keeping in mind that helper is in a rehabilitation program and that good personal and professional work habits are taught by example, as well as by instruction. Responsible for Bag & Tag as instructed by Supervisor and procedure. All pre and post checks must be completed daily. Any exceptions found during the pre-check inspection must be reviewed by the Transportation Supervisor prior to operating the vehicle. Any post-check exceptions must be reviewed with the Transportation Supervisor prior to clocking out for the day. All equipment on the truck must be in working order and properly secured for transport. The Guest Relations Associate will be responsible for membership and program sales, providing information and answering questions about programs and services, and checking in visitors for the Modesto Red Shield. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Greet guests as they enter the building and ensure they feel welcome and have a positive experience * Process all guest inquiries and sales by maintaining knowledge of current programs, services, and fees * Answer phone calls, direct calls and take messages to email to staff immediately. * Provide administrative support to include filing, data entry, and mailing. Ensure confidentiality of all data. * Handle and resolve guests' complaints and disputes by obtaining and evaluating all relevant data * Provide security to ensure the Red Shield is safe and secure by ensuring authorized entry by checking in and out all guests and using lock in system with buzzard to allow individuals into the facility. * Report any suspicious or inappropriate activity to management * Assist with emergencies and crisis situations including but not limited to fire alarms, flooding, and medical emergencies. * Maintain cleanliness of facility/work area and conduct all mandatory safety checks * Ensure that notices and changes for events, programs, and activities are posted in advance * Responsible for all opening duties * Assist Red Shield Center with accurate and detailed work order and incident reports. * Accept mail and packages for Red Shield Center/Staff and ensure it gets to the main office. * Create and maintain up to date flyers, programs and applications. * Data entry into Red Shield kiosk system through back end * Work with administrative staff and front desk attendant for processing paperwork appropriately * Perform other duties as assigned * Other related duties as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or equivalent (required) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Excellent customer service skills * Computer literate with proficient typing skills * Able to perform job functions with a proactive mindset, good organization, attention to detail, fine judgment, * Bilingual in Spanish * Experience with a Point of Sales (POS) system and membership recruitment (preferred) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Center Administrator the Counselor is responsible for managing the Program staff providing the counseling care and education that is directly provided to beneficiaries. As a team member in the Rehabilitation area, she/he promotes a climate for effective performance and learning through her/his attitudes, willingness to teach and learn and availability to beneficiaries and staff. Encouragement is given to the individual to continue to seek experience and training, which will enhance her/his ability to work, more effectively with those who seek Salvation Army services. Recommended Reading: My Brother, New Frontier, War Cry, and Year-Book. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: PERSONNEL AND STAFFING Recruit, train, and utilize community volunteers appropriately and effectively. Attend weekly program meetings to assure communication and team support. INTAKE OPERATIONS Ensure intake operations are developed and operated with ARC standards. Ensure all paperwork and data entry is performed as dictated by ARCC and conform with local requirements CURRICULUM Ensure curriculum is compliant with ARC standards Ensure appropriate teaching objectives and outlines are utilized Ensure appropriate teachers are recruited for all classes Ensure one-on-one counseling (minimum bi-weekly) and group process counseling (weekly) is done COUNSELING Assist beneficiaries to understand and overcome social and emotional problems through individual and process group counseling. Keep beneficiary files current with proper documentation of counseling and class activities for those beneficiaries assigned. Develop individual Rehabilitation Plans for beneficiaries seen in counseling. Assist assigned beneficiaries in preparation for 3 and 5-month reviews. Conduct Christian education classes as assigned. Lead other groups or classes. Teach classes in the program's educational component. Attend weekly Case Conference and provide input to discussion as helpful. Provide and maintain counseling statistics for monthly Program reports. Document and maintain appropriate Progress Notes in beneficiary files. Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries seen in counseling and make referrals to Chaplain as needed. Attend at least one Wednesday night chapel service each month. Serve as back-up to other counselors as needed. Support other staff of the Program Department as able. Monitor Overtime. All overtime must be approved by Administrator or their designee. OTHER DUTIES Cooperate and coordinate with the Administrator to mutually develop the most successful program. Ensure program department remains compliant with ARCC review standards. Travel to events both in the area and in the territory Perform other duties as assigned by the ARC Administrator.
