Responsible for conducting a program for a group of children and all activities related to the program
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily curriculum.
Foster a nurturing atmosphere. Assure that a method of positive discipline is used at all times.
Work as a team to collaborate with your co-teacher as well as the other teachers.
Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
Write a developmental evaluation for each child every three months. Meet with parents to discuss their child's progress. Evaluate each child's needs and set appropriate goals.

Write anecdotal records concerning each child on a daily basis.
Maintain a safe, stable, and secure environment. Make sure classroom is clean, the materials are stocked, and the door is locked at the end of the day.
Supervise the volunteers in your classroom. Do not leave volunteers alone with the children.
Become familiar with EEC regulations and center policy.
Observe the children in order to pick up on any developmental delays or emotional needs that might require special services or evaluation. Keep both the parents and the Director informed of these observations. Confer with the Director when a referral is needed.
Perform all duties in compliance with The Salvation Army's policy and regulations governing staff and client relationships, hours of work, holidays and any other matters integral to the position.
Represent The Salvation Army's social mission in the Cambridge Somerville Day Care program.

We are seeking a part-time Driver for our Boston Food Pantry Program.
The position is 16 hours per week working Tuesday - Thursday, 6:30 am to noon. No benefits.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
The Driver uses a 20-foot box truck to pick up, deliver and properly store products and other lightweight materials in accordance with an assigned route or on and as needed basis. Perform additional transport or loading duties to support the American Red Cross. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Specific duties:
The Driver will pick up food at the pantry and deliver it to community distribution sites. Will assist with loading and unloading truck, using a pallet stacker and electric pallet jacks. Will also help with inventory and assist with other duties at the pantry and distribution sites. Will work closely with volunteers. Must be comfortable driving a 20-foot box truck.

Principle Functions
The main function of the Education Manager is accountability for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in the After-School, Summer Camp, and Enrichment Programs. Additionally, assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contract agencies. The development and day-to-day operations of the education center, after school educational programs, enrichment programs, and classroom facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule, direct, and guide all public, private, and in-house activities within the Education department, including homework assistance, academic enrichment, tutoring, athletics and art and music activities.
Design programs; Philosophy, development of policies, procedures and evaluation of after-school/day camp by representing the Salvation Army's spiritual ministry and social mission.

The Director is responsible for fostering an environment that allows children, their families, and the staff to develop to their full potential. Program

Ensure that all staff interact and communicate respectfully with children demonstrating an inclusive environment.
Provide support and resources for staff on program development.

Focus on special marketing, with assistance from the DHQ Advancement Department, efforts during key enrollment periods

Maintain active waiting lists to ensure that available slots are filled quickly.

Ensure that all licenses and permits are current.

Supervision
Ensure implementation of all staff duties as described in their job descriptions. Conduct regular observations, evaluations of performance in collaboration with Corps Officer (s) and Early Education Program Manager including development and monitoring of progress of individual goals.
Develop key staff to share leadership roles in the center.
Utilize progressive counseling, document disciplinary action, and if necessary, separate staff in accordance with EEOC, federal, state, local, and company guidelines by working with DHQ Human Resources.
Leadership/Team Building
Establish and maintain team building among all teachers/group leaders and whole center staff by meeting regularly.
Support and sustain positive morale of the staff. Solicit input from staff and follow-up promptly
Ensure that team members communicate directly, work to resolve conflicts, and avoid gossip.
Serve as a role model by assuming a fair share of work including classroom and center responsibilities as needed: kitchen, substituting, etc.
Implement programs to achieve staff retention and decrease turnover.
Parent/Guardian Communication
Oversee ongoing staff/parent/guardian communication
Be available and accessible to parents/guardians every day and respond to parent/guardian concerns.
Share resources with parents/guardian through discussions, articles, newsletters, workshops, and community contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age and meet one of the following sets of requirements:
Have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Social Work, Sociology or Child Care, and have six months experience working with school age children; and have six months of administrative experience or have evidence of satisfactory completion of at least nine credits in management or administrative subject areas from an accredited institution of higher education; OR
Have a Bachelor's Degree in any field or an Associate's Degree in any of the fields listed in 102 CMR 7.32 (2) (a) 1; and have eighteen months working with school age children; and have six months administrative experience or have evidence of satisfactory completion of at least nine credits in management or administrative subject areas from an accredited institution of higher education; OR

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in accounting.
Work Experience:

* Follow the policies outlined in the Employee Manuals, including the requirement that all staff leave the camp during all staff breaks and between camping periods.
* Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, using illegal drugs, or engaging in immoral conduct during this agreement will be grounds for immediate dismissal.
* Attend and participate in daily devotions, evening programs, and weekly Lord's Day Worship Service.
* Be a role model to campers and staff through your attitude and behavior.
* Do not teach or push different views on doctrine or practices to other staff members, campers, or guests while working for The Salvation Army.
* Eagerly take part in the entire camping program.
* Lead evening cabin devotions with campers as requested.
* Participate in end-of-camp cleanup.
* Participate in the weekly Staff Bible Study and Vespers.
* Participate in planning, delivering, and supervising evening programs, special events, camp activities, and other camp functions.
* Perform assigned administrative duties at the start and end of each session.
* Set a consistent, positive Christian example for campers and staff.
* Sit with campers at all programs and in the dining hall as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High school or equivalent
Work Experience:
At least 1 year of experience as a professional driver (e.g., commercial, delivery, personal chauffeur, etc.)
Other Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive rental box truck safely at any time
Must be 21 years of age or older
Willingness to work irregular hours
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
