Essential Functions of Warehouse Receiving Associate:
Operate powered and manual warehouse equipment according to Gleaners and OSHA guidelines.
Accurately record received product, submit paperwork , and store product safely in the warehouse.
Perform various warehouse functions including:
Product receipt, loading and unloading of semis and box trucks.
Prepare product for distribution (including wrapping pallets and labeling orders) and order fulfillment by both case and pallet quantities.
Take direction as indicated by multiple sources.
Change tasks and job assignments based on daily warehouse needs.
Work safely and accurately with minimal supervision.
Ensure compliance and adherence to all food safety guidelines according to GFB, Feeding America, AIB, USDA, ISDH and any other applicable processes or regulations for safe and sanitary production and storage of all products.

Education and/or Experience of Warehouse Receiving Associate:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Prior experience in customer service is desired

Objective:

The WarehouseAssociate may be assigned to multiple areas of the operation that include warehouse, salvage, and recycling operations. The associate as directed maybe assigned to load and unload trailers, label and wrap product shipments, assist with material handling of textiles, hard goods, and furniture. The associate may also be assigned to sort, prepare material for salvage sales, move pallets of material using material handling equipment and operate tipping equipment.

Essential Functions

Must have the ability to lift or carry loads weighing over 50 pounds continuously.

Must able to able to use a pallet-jack to move containers on to trucks for shipment.
Sort product into categories for Salvage or for Recycling.
Grade donations to determine if the items are salvage, recycling disposal.
Weigh containers and keep documentation of processed salvage materials.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Must be able to learn the techniques of the job from short demonstration up to and including one month.
Be knowledgeable of and follow company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times.

The WarehouseAssociate will receive incoming donations, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds.
Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services.
