Work Environment Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings; noise levels may be low to moderate. Schedule Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. GENERAL SUMMARY The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds. Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receive incoming merchandise and food donations, accordingly, sorting and processing them for the appropriate places, foster long-lasting relationship and educate donors regarding our programs and services. Responsible for the movement of processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas. Required to operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed. Assist warehouse staff with the loading and unloading of donated items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location. Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: No experience necessary, will train. Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; this position requires some overtime and ability to work on some holidays. Confidentiality: Works with confidential information. Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities. Physical Demands: This position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods. The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms and must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
