* Manage the Mars intercompany settlement process full cycle (ICNetting platform) including multi currency impacts.
* Create the Champion price lists in the ERP for intercompany product sales, execute system updates and ensure proper controls. Be the point of contact in the organization for intercompany pricing.
* Have expertise on the ERP's intercompany processes including overseeing the multi currency requirements.
* Own and administer all transfer pricing charges between Champion entities, providing analysis and evaluating the transfer price models in collaboration with the Mars ICTC team.

Here's the scoop - Summary
The Regional Accountant will be the key reporting, accounting and internal controls lead for the Champion Petfoods regional operations outside of North America, including APAC and LATAM.
This role works in partnership with multiple stakeholder groups, including the Controllership group, parent company (Mars), and Finance Business Partners in the regions.
The Regional Accountant is responsible for the quality of accounts, providing complete and timely financial information that provides financial insights, supports management reporting, and drives compliance with statutory requirements within the region (VAT filings, etc.).
This role brings a high level of digital capability and a continuous improvement mindset to support the Corporate Controller and the Operating Entity in implementing global programs.
The Regional Accountant is based out of Mexico, Australia, our Flatirons Corporate Office in Louisville, CO, or our Landmark Corporate Office in Edmonton, AB and reports to the Corporate Controller.
What a typical day looks like
* Ensure period, quarter and year-end activities are completed to enable the timely delivery of financials and other required submissions in partnership with Mars Global Services (MGS) Finance.
* Conduct structured analysis/reconciliation to ensure the quality of accounts, including fluctuation analysis with commentary for all regional operating entities; review periodic, quarterly and annual financial accounts with the operating entity's Finance Business Partners and Corporate Controller.
* Ensure periodic reports are available in global Power BI reports and provide extracts to the Financial Planning & Analysis team for regional reporting requirements.
* Provide Finance Manual analysis to support decision-making.
* Oversee the Cluster's implementation of the control framework, controls testing plans and execution, support governance & control agenda with Governance & Controls Manager.
* Partner with non-finance functions at the unit level that may impact finance (e.g. Sales, Supply).
* Own the relationship with MGS Finance, working to ensure adherence to accounting standards and accuracy of accounting information for the units within the regions.
* Ensure all other financial and operational aspects of the business are compliant with local, federal, and global regulations, and effectively manage risk (e.g. tax, audits, insurance, etc.).
* Lead the regional accounting for special projects, transformations, and other ad hoc business requests.
* Support the implementation of new systems or business models.
What you'll bring
* University degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 5+ years of accounting experience.
* CPA or other professional certification is an asset.
* SAP (ATLAS) experience and knowledge management or equivalent ERP system.
