Responsibilities include the safe and sanitary operation of manufacturing process equipment, food safety and quality inspection and other tasks as needed while ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety policies. * Work safely, complying with all safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and proactively identify and report potential safety hazards so they can be corrected. * Adhere to production schedule as outlined by the supply chain team. Collect data for delays as they relate to production schedules * Correctly carry out any required quality checks and constantly monitor the quality of the products through the manufacturing process. * Operate all equipment as outlined in SOP, conduct set up and breakdown of equipment as required. Notify maintenance of mechanical problems and assist with basic troubleshooting. * Cross-train to various positions within and possibly outside of the department. * Move products manually or with assisted devices/equipment, following food safety and sanitary standards. * Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. * Ability to work well both individually and within a group. * Able & willing to work all shifts/schedules as needed Work environment & Physical Demands: * Lift to 60 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively throughout a 10 - 12-hour shift * This position will be required to work frequently indoors in a cooled sanitary environment with temperatures 45 degrees or below. * Frequently around loud production equipment. Removing product from equipment, tools and containers utilizing a water hose and industrial cleaners/sanitizers. Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
