POSITION OVERVIEW The Manager of Marketing & Communications plays a critical leadership role in advancing Shelter's mission by owning the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing and communications efforts that strengthen awareness, engagement, and support. This role exercises independent judgment, sets priorities for day-to-day Marketing & Communications operations, and regularly makes recommendations that influence organizational strategy, fundraising performance, and public positioning. Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, the Manager provides direct supervision and leadership to a small Marketing & Communications team (1.5 FTEs), ensuring high-quality execution, consistent messaging, and adherence to brand and trauma-informed standards. The Manager translates enterprise-level strategy into actionable plans, timelines, and workflows that drive measurable results. This position balances strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, guiding campaigns, content development, and storytelling across digital, print, media, and community channels. A highly collaborative partner, the Manager works closely with Development, Programs, HR, and Outreach to support fundraising campaigns, recruitment efforts, and organizational initiatives, helping amplify Shelter's voice and impact across the communities it serves. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership & Collaboration Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and performance management for marketing and communications staff, setting clear priorities, expectations, and accountability. Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture that encourages professional growth, innovation, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer to translate strategic direction into executable plans and systems. Marketing & Communications Strategy Execution Support the planning and execution of annual and multi-channel marketing and communications plans that advance Shelter's mission, fundraising goals, including mass grassroots donor acquisition and retention efforts, workforce needs, and public visibility. Plan and own campaign management across print, digital, media, and community channels, including timelines, workflows, and quality standards. Regularly analyze data and insights to proactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities related to messaging, timing, and audience engagement. Content Creation & Brand Stewardship Partner closely with the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee Shelter's content strategy, ensuring consistent, high-quality storytelling across all platforms and audiences. Review and approve key communications to ensure alignment with Shelter's brand, voice, values, and trauma-informed standards. Maintain and enforce brand standards, serving as a resource and decision-maker for internal teams. Oversee and contribute to the creation of compelling content, including newsletters, social media, website updates, press releases, and collateral. Elevate the stories of children, families, and staff with sensitivity and authenticity. Digital & Media Engagement Oversee Shelter's social media and digital engagement strategy, setting goals for growth, reach, and engagement. Leverage digital channels to support audience growth, engagement, and donor conversion, in collaboration with Development and the CMCO. Support optimization of digital pathways (email, social, website) that encourage action, participation, and giving. Oversee website content strategy and maintenance to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with organizational priorities. Community Engagement & Outreach Partner closely with the CMCO to oversee outreach strategy and efforts that support community engagement, events, and external partnerships through strategic communications Represent Shelter at select events, panels, or initiatives, as appropriate. Partner with internal teams to highlight opportunities for involvement and recognition of community supporters. Organizational Participation Develop and maintain systems, templates, and workflows that strengthen sustainability and reduce reliance on individual staff. Stay informed on sector trends, best practices, and emerging tools, translating insights into practical recommendations. Model Shelter's mission, values, and commitment to equity, inclusion, and client-centered care. Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing and communications. Demonstrate commitment to Shelter's mission, values, and client-centered approach. POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for overseeing the delivery of direct services to TLP clients; supervising TLP staff; maintaining program records; ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of the facility; managing supplies and equipment; and participating in program planning and implementation. POSITION OVERVIEW The Coordinator for the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Program will oversee the operations of a therapeutic treatment program serving up to 12 girls, ages 12-18, who have been identified as survivors of human trafficking. This role requires a highly skilled, compassionate leader who will be responsible for the safety, well-being, and support of the clients, as well as the supervision and development of staff. The Coordinator will provide direct supervision to Youth Care Specialists, will ensure daily programming and structure is adhered to, comply with daily documentation, promote a positive and safe culture among the residents and staff, and ensure adequate shift coverage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SUPERVISION OF YOUTH CARE SPECIALISTS Oversee and manage the daily routines of youth, ensuring the appropriate allocation of staff and resources to meet both individual and environmental needs. Repeat meetings will be held if requested by the Class Member, as often as desired; 2. Provide information to residents of NFs or SMHRFs/IMDs during the first face-to-face meeting, or as requested, on the array of Health Services and supports, by defining and explaining terms such as (but not limited to) ACT, CST, medication administering and monitoring, representative payee services, supportive employment, adaptive equipment, housing modification, peer support, physical wellness, and Psycho-Social Rehabilitation 3. Build rapport with facility staff to facilitate Class Member access and engagement; 4. Use innovative ways to engage populations outside of these deliverables; 5. Take Class Members into the community to observe different settings, such as housing options or Drop-In Centers, as appropriate; 6. At least quarterly (once every three months), re-engage Class Members who decline outreach or consent for the Resident Review/Evaluation assessment or who decline to consider moving forward with transition, if found appropriate for community re-integration; 7. Hold informational question and answer sessions with Class Members as often as requested to address the array of community resources for living in the community and how they are obtained; 8. Convene quarterly community meetings and/or community forums in the NFs or SMHRFs/IMDs to share information on transition options with larger audiences; 9. Engage Class Members' family members and/or guardians in ongoing discussions about transition/moving from NF or SMHRF/IMD to the least restrictive Community-Based Setting; Discussions should include providing information regarding housing options, available services and supports and other transition information, and addressing family/guardian concerns about the process; 10. Explain to Class Members and family or guardians the "Next Steps" in the ongoing implementation processes of the Williams and Colbert Consent Decrees, as requested; 11. For those Class Members who express an interest in transition, provide a warm hand-off to the Resident Review/Evaluation staff to obtain consent for Evaluation; 12. Document the outcome of each outreach interaction with Class Members; 13. Provide a written "menu" of services, supports, and housing that Class Members are eligible to be considered for. POSITION OVERVIEW The Residential Supervisor reports to the Residential Director and plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and quality of services in the Transitional Living Program, Emergency Shelters, and Youth Experiencing Homelessness programs. The position involves providing leadership to program coordinators, ensuring program compliance, and contributing to the overall success of residential programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Supervision Provide direct supervision and guidance to the Transitional Living Program (TLP) Coordinator, Emergency Shelter Coordinators, and Youth Experiencing Homelessness (YEH) Caseworker. Support program coordinators in scheduling residential staff to ensure consistent coverage, maintaining census levels, and meeting program operational needs. Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff. Coordinate and lead regular team meetings to review goals, address challenges, provide supervision and support, and identify staff training needs. Carry out all duties as designated by the Residential Director. Program Oversight and Operations Oversee daily operations of the Transitional Living Program, Emergency Shelters, and Youth Experiencing Homelessness program to ensure effective service delivery. Ensure that program homes are well-maintained and compliant with DCFS health, safety, and licensing standards. Maintain high-quality program services by monitoring milestones, deliverables, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. Implement new policies and procedures as required by DCFS or the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). Respond promptly to crisis situations, ensuring appropriate debriefing, documentation, and follow-up occur. Oversee the implementation and documentation of emergency protocols in compliance with Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) standards. Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures and the DCFS Code of Ethics for Child Welfare Professionals. Oversee compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, including COA, DCFS, IDHS, and Medicaid standards. Attend required DCFS and IDHS meetings and training to maintain compliance and stay informed on programmatic updates. Understand and manage multiple funding streams, monitoring budgets and program expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility. Collaboration and Community Engagement Represent agency programs in the community and engage in outreach with other agencies, partners, and service providers. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to discuss youth goals, treatment planning, transitions, and discharge processes. Partner with clinical and case management teams to assess youth needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress. Youth-Centered and Trauma-Informed Care Promote a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive environment that prioritizes safety, dignity, and well-being for all residents. Ensure services align with best practices in youth care, focusing on empowerment, independence, and long-term stability. POSITION OVERVIEW The Clinical Supervisor for the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Program will support and supervise the delivery of clinical services for two therapists within the CSEC program. Clinical services include individual therapy, group therapy, and on-call crisis services to youth residing in the CSEC program and other duties in compliance with the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services' (DCFS) rules and regulations. This position operates under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PROGRAM DAILY OPERATIONS: Responsible for all therapeutic needs for clients within the CSEC Program. Provide psycho-education and trauma-informed therapeutic groups to clients and/or families based on interest and need. Facilitate the development, review and modification of clients' clinical treatment, discharge, and aftercare plans. Collaborate with case management teams to assess client needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress. Ensure that all certification and licensing requirements are met within 2 years and are kept active and up to date. 9. Conduct clinical reviews as required based on the client's level of care. 10. Coordinate with Substance Abuse counselor treatment services to ensure minimum service hours are met. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned. 12. Satisfactory Attendance QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and be IAODAPCA certifiable, Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, or LCSW, MSW, and certified or certifiable preferred. CADC Certification is required. Two years of direct client service in a substance abuse treatment setting is a plus. Knowledge of ASAM, NORC, SOG, ASI, and QA standards is a plus.
