Summary: Provide quality dental care and associated services to patients under the general supervision of a dentist and using established dental hygiene procedures. Job Duties : These are considered essential to the successful performance of this position:
Provide direct patient care and dental services as trained, licensed, and assigned, including patient assessment through approved screening procedures (e.g., medical history review, dental and periodontal charting).Evaluate oral health for signs of periodontal disease, cancer, or other concerns, such as recessed gums, bleeding, and lesions.
Perform procedures according to treatment plans, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, debridement, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.
Ensure positive patient experiences with compassionate care, meeting physical, psychosocial, and safety needs.
Manage and maintain accurate, timely patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
Assist with emergency measures for adverse events during treatment.
Ensure accurate billing submissions for favorable collection outcomes.
