Position Highlights
The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a Family Law/Probate Clerk (Court Operations Specialist).
In this role…
You will assist the public with Family Law and Probate matters at the counter, phone, and via email. Explain court procedures to the public, attorneys, and others. Assist with operating public computer terminals. You will also review forms for completeness including signatures, certify copies, and direct customers to the appropriate courtroom. Organize, schedule, and re-schedule (if needed) the most critical and complex court dockets and other appearances among multiple parties.
You will address and process difficult case management issues. This includes reviewing complex files for proper order and next appropriate action. Use the Odyssey system to enter document information including motions, affidavits, orders, judgment and satisfactions. Review and accept or reject filings through the File & Serve system utilizing the current business processes.
Cross train on different tasks to assist coworkers with other duties.

Representation of clients in interlocutory/appellate proceedings

The Oregon Public Defense Commission (OPDC) is an agency governed by a 13-member commission appointed by the Governor, which serves as the governing body for Oregon's public defense system. The Commission provides policy direction and oversight for the administration of the system. The legal services provided by OPDC represent an essential component of Oregon's public safety system.

Oregon State Hospital, a Joint Commission and CMS certified public psychiatric hospital, provides psychiatric hospital services and patient treatment services to persons committed by the Oregon courts as part of the state mental health system.
The Oregon State Hospital Salem Campus is a 610-bed facility supported by approximately 2,000 staff.
The CTRS provides individualized treatment to patients based on their discipline specific education, training, licensing, and board certification in Recreation Therapy.
The CTRS completes clinical assessments, develops clinical interventions to meet individualized persons served treatment needs, creates program and treatment goals, and provides rehabilitation-focused clinical services to persons served.
The CTRS completes clinical assessments in accordance with Oregon State Hospital, specific discipline, and professional standards within timelines established by policies and protocols. They participate in the development of program plans based on persons served needs and goals. They provide discipline specific and evidenced-based interventions that support individualized treatment plans and coordinate those interventions with overall clinical delivery of treatment services. They evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and track persons served progression or regression towards goals.
The CTRS reassess persons served treatment goals by modifying, adapting, and progressively updating the treatment plan to report out to the interdisciplinary group as an active member of the team representing the Treatment Services Department.

Track and document in Electronic Medical Records persons served progress or regress toward their individual treatment goals.
Reassess persons served treatment goals by modifying, adapting, and progressively updating treatment care plans.
Regularly evaluate efficacy of clinical interventions and communicate with clinical supervisor.

You will serve as liaison for the Civil/Small Claims/Landlord Tenant Unit with judges, court administrative staff, attorneys, litigants, and other governmental agencies for the purpose of explaining and interpreting policies, procedures, and actions and to authorize or take further action on the most difficult or complex matters.
Supervising will be an important part of your role: you will assign, monitor, review, and evaluate the work of subordinate employees. You will facilitate and implement training/cross-training opportunities for staff, provide feedback and guidance for ongoing training and performance goals. The Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) has immediate openings for full-time, Assistant Attorneys General (AAG) in the Consumer Protection Section on the Civil Enforcement Division. We are seeking both seasoned civil litigators as well as attorneys who are newer to the practice of law. Positions may be based in Portlandor Salem and are eligible for a flexible hybrid work schedule to the extent it is consistent with DOJ policy.
This is an opportunity to do exciting work in a dynamic area of the law. Attorneys in the Consumer Protection Section investigate and prosecute violations of laws that prohibit false advertising and unlawful, unfair, or fraudulent business practices. This work is high profile and often involves complex litigation. Areas of focus include consumer finance, automotive, health care, education, retail sales and telecommunications. The Section works closely with consumer protection enforcement partners from other states and the federal government to address trending issues occurring on a regional or national scale.
The ideal candidates will have experience identifying and developing cases, including case strategy and the ability to plan next steps, anticipate obstacles, and take appropriate action to drive cases forward to trial or resolution. Successful consumer protection attorneys are self-directed but also enjoy working collaboratively and thinking creatively and strategically about the law.
Responsibilities
AAGs participate in all phases of consumer protection litigation in state, federal, and multi-state civil matters. Typical duties include:
Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, investigators and legal support staff within DOJ as well as other state and federal enforcement partners;
Investigating potential violations of consumer protection laws;
Issuing civil investigative demands and interviewing witnesses;
Evaluating cases and making recommendations to internal decisionmakers;
Initiating enforcement actions against businesses or individuals engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices;
Drafting and arguing motions;
Trying cases; and
Negotiating settlements.

Required Qualifications
Active membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar or reciprocity in progress at the time of application.

About the Job - Your Role
As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you will administer medications, maintain medication administration records, process medication orders, assist in medication room and clinic operations, and provide direct basic care under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. CMA's will be an integral part of the Medical Services Team providing direct patient care in a correctional environment.
Duties
Administer oral, sublingual, and buccal medications. Administer eye medications with the exception of eye medications to new post-operative eye clients. Administer ear, nasal, rectal and vaginal medications. Apply skin ointments and topical medications including patches and transdermal medications. Administer medications by gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes, premeasured medication delivered by Aerosol/Nebulizer and medications delivered by metered hand-held inhalers. Administer PRN Medications, including controlled substances, to stable clients according to physician's or nurse practitioner's orders in response to specific client requests. Administer regularly scheduled controlled substances. Jointly witness wasted controlled substances with a licensed nurse. Count controlled substances with a licensed nurse or another CMA. Under general supervision of a licensed professional, review stock on hand and initiate orders from medical stores/pharmacy for supplies as needed, receive supplies, noting and initiating corrective actions for wrong items or amounts received, and maintain inventory system. Maintain logs and documentation records of pharmaceuticals. Maintain dispensing records and medical records. Produce and maintain MAR's, physician orders, and files as needed.
Perform capillary blood glucose testing (CBG). Turn oxygen on and off at predetermined, established flow rate. Add fluid to established jejunostomy or gastrostomy tube feedings and change established tube feeding bags. Accept and transcribe verbal or telephone orders for medications from a licensed health care professional who is authorized to independently diagnose and treat.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADL's) such as hygiene, housekeeping, basic grooming, basic daily needs to promote functional independence. Assist with nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices and restraints and restorative care. Observe and report changes of condition to a licensed nurse.
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.

Working Conditions
Work is performed at an adult correctional facility. Interaction with adults in custody occurs daily. Must be able to work any of all the seven days of the week, including but not limited to, Saturdays and Sunday, and work any shift of the day. A day in the life:
Serve as liaison to statewide teams and as our agency's primary external contact for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project, representing our agency with community groups and local governments.
Oversee all phases of project development and construction, including planning, environmental review, design, construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) preconstruction, construction and closeout.
Manage the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Program team, including agency staff, consultants and the architectural & engineering (A&E) design and construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) teams in delivering and constructing the project.
Recruit, select, supervise, appraise, mentor and coach resident engineers and staff as needed.
Oversee construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) delivery including preconstruction services, constructability reviews, risk workshops, and development and negotiation of guaranteed maximum price (GMP) packages.
Manage and monitor work plans to ensure performance to approved scope, schedule and budget.
Recommend transportation policies and implementation strategies for Oregon to agency leadership and the Oregon Transportation Commission.
Conduct regular reviews of project schedules, budgets and contractor issues to maintain accountability and successful program delivery.
Direct the preparation and administration of the biennial and annual budget requests.
Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available and occasional travel required, including overnight stays and out-of-state.

About the Job - Your Role
In this role you will support the Administrator, the OISC management team, and all OISC staff by providing operational direction, program analysis, and technical guidance related to offender sentence computation, audit processes, and applicable laws and policies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and legal compliance across OISC operations.
You will research and evaluate statutes, administrative rules, legislative actions, and departmental policies to develop sound, legally defensible recommendations for the OISC Program Manager, OISC Administrator, DOC executive leadership, and other OISC managers.
You are responsible for developing, revising, and maintaining administrative rules, DOC policies, and operating procedures that directly impact offender sentence computation and audit functions.
In addition, you will serve as a subject-matter expert on sentence calculation policy and practice, providing technical guidance and support to OISC staff and stakeholders.
You will represent OISC on multidisciplinary department-wide and interagency committees and project teams, contributing expertise to initiatives that affect offender information, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four (4) years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

Working Conditions
Your work and leadership must adhere to and further the rules, policies, and procedures of the Department and OISC. About the Process - What to Expect

The Oregon State Hospital has an opening for a Music Therapist 2 (Behavioral Health Specialist 2) to join our Creative Arts and Recreation Therapies department. The Music Therapist provides individualized treatment to patients, completes clinical assessments, develops individualized clinical interventions, creates program and treatment goals, and provides music psychotherapy-focused clinical services to persons served.
What will you do!
The Music Therapist 2 completes clinical assessments in accordance with Oregon State Hospital, their specific discipline, and professional standards within timelines established by policies and protocols.
Develop and write program plans based on persons served needs and goals.
Provide discipline specific and evidenced-based interventions that support individualized treatment plans and coordinate those interventions with overall clinical delivery of treatment services.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and track persons served progression or regression towards goals.
The Music Therapist 2 reassess persons served treatment goals by modifying, adapting, and progressively updating the treatment plan to report out to the interdisciplinary group as an active member of the team representing the Treatment Services Department.
The Music Therapists are supervised by a clinical manager who evaluates the position through direct observation, documentation review, clinical supervision, treatment outcome measurements, persons served satisfaction responses, and peer/other management feedback.
The Music Therapist is in daily contact with managers in other units, members of various treatment teams, interns, volunteers, and students.
Provide up to 20 hours of direct services to persons served through 1:1s, on-unit clinical groups, and/or treatment mall clinical groups.
Provide high quality services that reflect emerging best practices.
Track and document in Electronic Medical Records persons served progress or regress toward their individual treatment goals.
Reassess persons served treatment goals by modifying, adapting, and progressively updating treatment care plans.
Regularly evaluate efficacy of clinical interventions and communicate with clinical supervisor.
Communicate routinely with Creative Arts and Recreation Therapy Director/Associate Director, and Treatment Mall Manager, informing them of actions taken in unusual situations, limitations in skill, scheduling issues, absences, leave, supplies, etc.
Facilitate constructive resolutions that utilize Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) techniques used at the hospital when interacting in conflicts or stressful situations. Training in CPS is provided.

About the Job - Your Role
As a Correctional Sergeant, you will be a senior security staff member responsible for overseeing custody, control, supervision, and daily care of adults in custody while upholding the mission of the Department. You will serve as a lead worker, ensuring facility operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will supervise AICs during movement assignments, monitor high-security areas, and conduct security operations such as transports, searches, and emergency response.
In this role, you will also play a key part in staff development, assisting in training and potentially mentoring subordinate staff as a Field Training Officer (FTO). You will lead by example, modeling professionalism, accountability, and behaviors that support rehabilitation efforts.
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
You must be a current ODOC Correctional Sergeant employee to be considered for a lateral transfer request. Lateral transfer requests are posted by institution. If you are interested in applying to multiple locations, please apply to each additional job announcement.
Employees requesting a lateral transfer by voluntary demotion from a higher security series classification can do so from this announcement. You must be currently DPSST certified to request a lateral.

Working Conditions
Constant exposure to adult male and female AICs within a prison setting. Exposure to emotionally and mentally unstable and deviant behaviors within the work environment on an on-going basis. Rotating shifts/positions of a 7 day/24-hour operation. Mandatory overtime. Participation on riot squads or tactical teams. Searches of unclothed AICs. Collecting urine samples. Some travel and hospital supervision. Perform continuous physical activity which may include bending and standing for prolonged periods.
