JOB SUMMARY: The Revenue Cycle Training and Development Trainer provides training for departments that operate within or require access to Revenue Cycle Systems with the Cerner applications. Revenue Cycle Training and Development Trainers are instrumental in the training of all Revenue Cycle representatives in every aspect of regulatory practices and basic registration. Revenue Cycle Systems and Quality Trainer conduct ongoing Revenue Cycle training and serves as a liaison between the department/facility and its customers.
REQUIREMENTS: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. 1-3 years of experience

Develops and facilitates the overall training program and development for incoming, recent graduate nurses through managing the daily operations of a care team by review, education, audit for the delivery of home and community health service. Additionally works with Education Department for development and oversight of preceptor ship of new nursing hires not participating in the Immersion program.
-Develops/coordinates curriculum to meet professional development needs and competency of
staff through home visits to supervise and evaluate clinical performance.
-Planning, interviewing, hiring, training of Immersion program nurses.
-Implement and evaluate development programs ensuring the success of Immersion program nurses.
-Insures continuous improvement in the delivery of quality education and training to result in ongoing compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
-Accountable for team performance in achieving desired clinical and operational performance
measures.
-Participates in quality assurance audit, committees & projects as needed. Audits to include areas such as re-hospitalization avoidance, records of the new staff as well as general HHCAH audits.
-Develops plan for formalized preceptor program with input from Education Dept.; oversees implementation and ensures ongoing requirements of program are met by involved parties (ie. clinical supervisors).
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of NLN-approved BSN program; Masters Degree preferred. Background in nursing education preferred.
Experience: Three years clinical experience. Home care, clinical training and education background preferred
Licensure: CT RN License or CT PT License. OASIS certification is a plus.
Ability to travel within the region to perform visits, willingness to travel between regions as needed

RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:

Implement clinical planning for youth as designed by the treatment team and individualized treatment plan (ITP) and documentation of derivations/changes from clinical planning for clients.
Responsible for the development, planning, of curriculum writing of groups being lead. These curricula are to be completed and approved by the supervisor prior to all group sessions and are due prior to the commencement of any new therapeutic group.
Assist in crisis intervention, problem resolution and process discussions with clients.
Responsible for daily/progress notes for therapeutic service hours delivered, as shared with other facilitators within the groups.
Responsible for weekly summaries of assigned clients.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
As needed, transport clients to and from GTS program in agency provided vehicle.

Job Requirements:

Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients and genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
CPR certified yearly.
Ability to supervise nursing staff, assuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.

This new program is a 10-week intensive online certification program offered through Houston Community College - Coleman College for Health Sciences. A significant benefit of this program is that participants work, and are paid for, 38.5 hours per week while receiving the necessary Computed Technologist (CT Tech) clinical hours.
Opportunities for Growth:
We offer accelerated development programs to support colleagues with career advancement into both CT and MRI. These training programs are fully funded by HCA Healthcare, and selected colleagues complete and are paid for clinical hours during regular shifts.
