Position Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Sunshine Cares, you will play a vital role in the care and support of our home based residents. Qualified candidates will have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring dietary needs are met.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
Follow care plans and provide emotional support to residents.
Report any changes in resident condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Utah is preferred.
Ability to become trained and certified as a Nurse's Aide within 4 months of employment is mandatory.
CPR and First Aid certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.

Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attend to his/her requests promptly; if unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately

Participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities

Requirements:
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (
applicable for all States, additional requirements for California residents, see below).
CALIFORNIA REGULATION: Must be a CNA in good standing AND must have a current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in good standing in the State of California.
Preferred to have one (1) year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments
Must have completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements and is in good working order
Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter
Current CPR certification
