…1977 a two-person firm called Structured Systems Group started developing a General Ledger program, perhaps the first serious business software, which sold for \$995.
Art Allen first attempted to acquire Landmark in 1991 but was turned down by the company's founders, Patrick McGettican and Kathy Clark.
On 1 September 1994, Lyngsoe Systems was sold in a management buy-out to the management group.
The company also launched in 1996 a concerted effort to expand its European business.
By 1997 ASG was generating $23 million in annual revenues and employed some 175 people.
Next, in September 1998, ASG completed two acquisitions.
1998: Company begins expanding its Latin American business.
ASG completed one major deal in 1999, acquiring several mainframe scheduling and intelligent management tools from Computer Associates, which had months earlier picked them up as part of a purchase of Platinum Technologies.
Lyngsoe Systems, Inc. (est. in 1999) Sales, project and service office in Maryland, USA for servicing our customers in North America.
More important acquisitions followed in 2000.
During the course of 2000 ASG opened its 30th international office, adding Sao Paulo, Brazil.
2002: Landmark Systems acquisition is completed. in making their enterprise applications available for use in e-business.
By 2005 Lyngsoe Systems had expanded into Romania, and this office provides project management, software development and technical services for Lyngsoe Systems’ product platform Catellae™ and system installations worldwide.
In March 2014 private equity fund CataCap acquired a majority stake in Lyngsoe Systems.
