POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Deputy Chief Operating Officer is an executive position within The Task Force for Global Health (Task Force). Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of the Task Force for Global Health, the DCOO provides business and operational support to the organization and its programs. The DCOO serves as acting COO in the absence of the COO. The DCOO works with the COO to define and implement the operational vision and business strategy of The Task Force. Develops organizational objectives that align with the business strategy, specifically in the areas of compliance, IT, Finance, HR, communications, development, travel, and facility services. Working closely with the Task Force's Global Security Director, the DCOO takes the lead internally on safety and security for staff. Plans, develops, and implements organization-wide solutions for improved business processes, including identifying organization-wide systems to support operations. Ensures business operations and processes support compliance requirements across the project/program's portfolio. Is responsible for the development and implementation of change management plans. Participate fully as a member of The Task Force for Global Health by contributing, assisting, and participating in projects, activities, and initiatives as requested by management. The DCOO may be a member of The Task Force's Executive Team and may serve as an Officer of the Board of Directors for The Task Force. May supervise staff. Performs other duties, as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) partners with the COO to drive strategic and operational priorities, overseeing business planning, funding portfolio management, and cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency and compliance. This role also leads Duty of Care efforts, manages organizational risk, and ensures alignment across departments through effective change management, vendor oversight, and policy implementation.
Business Strategy
Partners with the COO to shape and execute the Task Force's strategic and operational vision.
Aligns organizational objectives with the overall business strategy and leads the development of short- and long-term goals.
Manages cross-functional strategic projects to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and timely execution.
Funding Portfolio
Leads Task Force-wide funding portfolio management, ensuring compliance with donor grant and contract requirements.
Maintains systems to track funding activities and support donor obligations.
Collaborates with the CFO to identify financial compliance risks and define system and process improvements.
Provides operational support in partnership with program and executive leadership.
Duty of Care
Oversees Duty of Care responsibilities in coordination with Global Security and HR.
Monitors daily security updates from OSAC and Healix and ensures staff and consultant travel are registered appropriately.
Coordinates annual safety and security training and communicates policy updates.
Maintains exclusion lists and emergency phone trees to support compliance and preparedness.
Operational Effectiveness/Change Management
Leads initiatives to improve operational efficiency through scalable, repeatable solutions.
Drives change management efforts to support cross-organizational improvements.
Strengthens contract and vendor management practices, including oversight of RFPs and enterprise-wide compliance training.
Ensures risk monitoring and policy adherence.
Coordinates compliance-related projects, ensuring business requirements are integrated into systems and workflows
TRAVEL: 5% international and domestic travel
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in public health, social sciences, public administration, or a related field and ten years of related experience, which includes seven years at a management level, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10 years of program management experience in international public health, including 2-5 years overseeing global safety and security in an NGO setting.
Proven ability to manage large budgets and donor-funded programs, with strong grant management experience.
Demonstrated success in business development within similar organizations.
Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills; able to multitask and work independently.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, especially with senior officials and partners.
Experience collaborating with federal agencies (e.g., CDC), Ministries of Health, NGOs, foundations, and private donors.

🔬 Sr. Associate Director, Programs (Laboratory Focus)
The Task Force for Global Health (TFGH) seeks a Senior Associate Director, Programs with a strong background in laboratory science and global public health to join the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) program. CHAMPS works to collect high-quality data to identify causes of child mortality in partner countries globally.
Key Responsibilities
This senior position provides day-to-day technical expertise and coordination for the CHAMPS laboratory workstream, reporting to the Deputy Director for Science, Site Strategy, and Implementation.
Laboratory Management & Technical Oversight (65%):
Coordinate the CHAMPS network laboratory workstream, including oversight of testing platforms, quality assurance (QA), supply chain management, and personnel training.
Develop and manage the transition plan for TAC (Tissue Acquisition) production and technical oversight from CDC-based operations to the CHAMPS Program Office and qualified in-country labs.
Provide tailored, in-person, and remote technical assistance to site staff in molecular diagnostics, biosafety, and diagnostic reagent production.
Oversee the production and quality control of diagnostic reagents for the network.
Network Learning, Coordination, & Capacity Building (35%):

SIMULATION SPECIALIST PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Simulation Specialist role will be responsible for assisting the lead Simulation Manager in facilitating and managing both our middle school learning programs JA BizTown and JA Finance Park for 6th and 7th grade students. In this role, you will be required to utilize public speaking skills that translate effectively during training presentations for volunteer groups participating in our program. Along with facilitation skills that would effectively translate when providing instructional-based tasks and announcements on the microphone AV sound system within our facility. We are looking for candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment with challenges that will require you to make effective sound decisions. Candidates who can create innovative activities and projects that promote student and teacher engagement. Leaders who can set professional examples for our middle school students by facilitating teachable moments and valuable discussions. Day to Day Operational Task:
Support program excellence by preparing daily simulation materials and technology and ensuring all student spaces are cleaned at the end of each day.

Assist in the inventory tracking for all simulation resources (tablets, props, program materials, etc.).

Collect required program forms and complete daily reports in a timely manner.

Prep and reset ensure that program resources and all essential materials for students and volunteers are prepared and ready prior to arrival.
Utilize non-program days (i.e. summer) to innovate and elevate the current student programs, as well as strategize program growth.

Job Summary

Engage in law enforcement patrol functions by foot, bike or vehicle including rotating shifts and physically checking doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are secure. Conduct visual and audio surveillance.

The Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc, E-Commerce department is currently looking for a passionate and dedicated E-Commerce Merchandiser II. Operating hours include Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
E-Commerce Merchandiser II responsibilities:
Sort through bins of donated items to determine condition, value and acceptability.
Document items into inventory management system accurately
Assign items to a specific shelf location using handheld scanning device.
Present items accurately on online platform through camera position/angle, lighting, and key shots
Generate shipping label and postage for appropriate shipping.
Package and ship documents by bundling and wrapping products for safe shipment.

Respond to online customers in a timely and professional manner.
Work other areas of E-commerce as requested by leadership team.
Requirements:
Level of knowledge normally gained from a high school diploma
Basic computer skills and ability to use a smartphone
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Experience knowledge using on-line sales platforms such as eBay, Amazon, etc., preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)
The Director, National Special Events is part of an integrated team that aligns with field staff, volunteer leadership, mission execution, and revenue generation to expand and empower individuals nationwide to boldly address arthritis through living better lives and funding cures. The Director, National Special Events is responsible for the overall direction and management of Walk to Cure Arthritis, ensuring its seamless integration within the team and that resources and strategy are deployed in collaboration with key stakeholders to build a nationwide network of volunteers, supported by highly trained foundation experts whom executive special events to achieve maximum success in fundraising for the Arthritis Foundation priorities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)
Oversee all national aspects of the Walk to Cure Arthritis fundraising campaigns by developing strategically executed peer-to-peer fundraising best practices.
In collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, develop a three-year strategic vision and plan for Walk to Cure Arthritis campaigns, including fundraising goals, budget recommendations, vendor relationships, volunteer leadership structure and goals, and timelines.
Direct the implementation and execution of Walk to Cure Arthritis national strategies focusing on acquisition, retention, and stewardship of teams, participants, top fundraisers, sponsors, and volunteer committees.
In partnership with the VP, lead national Walk to Cure Arthritis committees to develop recruitment, activation, and succession pipelines.
Develop resources to support staff and volunteers, including committee guides, timelines, and support materials.
Enhance Walk to Cure Arthritis overall event experience, including brand consistency.
Stay informed and keep the organization's leadership apprised of industry trends and emerging strategies within peer-to-peer fundraising.
Develop and implement national campaign strategies, including standards of excellence, assessment of year-round fundraising plans, and market benchmarks and KPIs.
Provide training and player-coach support to ensure fundraising strategies are understood and implemented by staff and volunteers.
Enhance and manage National Teams Program and corporate leadership engagement programs.
Communicate campaign strategies, develop collaterals, identify areas of opportunity, and troubleshoot challenges to ensure successful event execution and campaigns meet or exceed revenue goals.
Coach market staff and volunteers; help them stay on track, reach goals, and best communicate with their sponsors and fundraisers.
Manage special projects, as assigned, such as vetting vendors, developing surveys, and piloting new initiatives.
Develop effective internal partnerships to advance events and support the Foundation's mission.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
5 - 7 years of related experience.
National fundraising campaigns, proven track record in fundraising events, marketing, and PR experience.
Proven capability of working with various leadership styles in a matrixed organization and externally with volunteers and corporate partners.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, generate revenue, and analyze data to drive results.
Demonstrated organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's or Master's level is appropriate (Communications, nonprofit management, marketing/PR)
Proficiency in MS Office suite and DonorDrive fundraising platform.
