    Job Description Toledo Clinic's Urology Department, located on Meijer Dr in Toledo, Ohio, is seeking a full-time RN or LPN to perform phone triage in a very busy office setting. This position will work Monday - Friday (8:30-5:00). There are no weekends or holidays. General Summary: Answer phone calls related to patient's medical problems, address questions with physicians and call patients back. Follow physician verbal orders related to patient care. Obtain prior authorizations for medications, radiology, and DME. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Answer patient telephone calls related to medical/urological questions Interact with physicians to get answers to patient questions and relay the information to patients. Refill medications Prior authorizations At the request of the physician, call in prescriptions. Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, etc.). Follow up with lab work and/or xrays. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Required: - Excellent telephone skills required. 90% of this position requires talking on the telephone. - Medical background to be able to triage patient questions appropriately - Attention to detail and being conscientious to follow up with patients - Must be able to work quickly and accurately - Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. - Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. - Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures. Education: - Practical Nursing education and Current State RN/LPN licensure (OH). Preferred: -Previous Urology experience helpful.

No Fridays, weekends, or late evenings. General Summary: Assist provider(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for provider(s), and performs various clerical duties.
