At the Tufts Daily, my school’s financially-independent daily newspaper, I’ve written more than 50 pieces on a number of topics ranging from local politics to art and living, photographed roughly 150 events, and engineered a brand new social media department. As the editor-in-chief of the same publication, I oversaw 190 staff members, cut down our operating budget by 25%, and resolved a 20,000-dollar-deficit problem, all to ensure that we can fulfill our promises to our readers.
