Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine as a Senior ReceivablesClerk for our Revenue Cycle Burr Ridge, IL location. This position requires you to work onsite 1-2 days per week. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
In this role, the Senior ReceivablesClerk is responsible for the daily review and error resolution of automated charge posting jobs for hospital and professional fee charges. They are responsible for responding to email and phone inquiries regarding laboratory charges. This includes obtaining missing information using various information systems or phone inquiry and CPT and or ICD9 coding changes according to Medicare and third-party reimbursement guidelines confirmed by appropriate documentation. The Senior ReceivablesClerk coordinates activities of Biller(s) and other clerical staff to assure prompt and accurate charge posting and claim preparation. They train new and existing employees as well as assists in development and implementation of new billing and audit procedures.
Essential Job Functions
* Monitors performance of charge posting corrections based on daily and periodic automated charge posting error reports. Reviews and/or performs correction of charge posting (billing) errors for hospitals laboratories charges (anatomic pathology and clinical pathology) via manual computer entry or paper submission. Documents activities appropriately.
* Contacts clinic staff for activation of patient account numbers and resolution of discrepancies preventing charge posting.
* Codes selected Cytopathology and/or Surgical Pathology cases for accurate CPT and ICD9 coding in Misys-Copath. Obtains missing information and releases professional fee billing.
* Reviews professional fee transaction editing reports (IDX-TES). Resolves errors and obtains missing information and enters appropriate data into professional fee transaction editing system.
* Performs periodic audits of automated and manual charge posting for hospitals laboratories charges (anatomic pathology and clinical pathology).
* Assists UCPG staff in review of professional fee claim rejections. Resolves errors and obtains missing information. Prints supporting pathology reports as requested by UCPG.
* Participates in and may chair regularly scheduled Laboratory Administration Billing Services Team meetings.
* Responds to phone and email inquiries from clinic coordinators, UCPG and UCH Finance staff, and UCH patients about billing and requests for billing adjustments. Investigates and resolves inquiries or refers inquiries to other staff as appropriate.
* Verifies appropriate charge posting of accounts at risk, e.g., shared MRN error resolution.
* Updates accounts requiring modifier and occurrence code documentation for Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) receipt. Is familiar with Laboratory National Coverage Decisions and other medical necessity rules relating to laboratory and pathology services. May assist in communicating procedures for prevention and resolution of medical necessity documentation issues to clinic staff.
* Assigns tasks to biller(s) as appropriate.
* Assists in data retrieval and/or data entry for special projects.
* May prepare reports to monitor quality and system improvements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* A completed high school diploma or GED equivalent
* Three or more years of related experience in billing and/or charge posting
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Considerable experience and demonstrated ability to work with multiple hospital and laboratory information systems such as IDX-Lastword, OACIS, EPIC, Misys-Lab, Misys-Copath, IDX-Bar and IDX-TES
* Proficiency with computer data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing
* Must be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other health care workers as well as have excellent interpersonal skills
* Exceptional telephone communication skills
* Must be able to perform work efficiently and effectively
* Must be able to complete tasks within deadlines, following guidelines and established procedures and with appropriate documentation
Preferred Qualifications
* A completed Associate degree
* Knowledge of regulations and procedures relating to ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes in relation to hospital billing procedures highly desirable
* Coding training or certification
* Considerable skill and experience in identifying and solving charge posting and patient billing problems

THE ROLE
The Receiving Supervisor manages all receiving, inspection, and distribution of goods at One World Observatory to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Working with Purchasing, Culinary, and Operations teams, the role maintains inventory control and proper product rotation. This position verifies deliveries, monitors vendors, and upholds sanitation standards. The Supervisor also supports cost control and product quality. The Inventory Control Associate supports Langham's life sciences logistics operations by ensuring accurate, compliant, and traceable inventory control activities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and client-specific requirements.
This role is responsible for conducting system-based and physical inventory counts using Langham's Warehouse Management System (WMS); identifying, investigating, and correcting inventory discrepancies; supporting inbound raw material verification; and maintaining inventory accuracy across regulated warehouse environments. The Inventory Control Associate plays a critical role in data integrity, inventory reconciliation, cold-chain compliance, and audit readiness.
All activities must be performed in compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements, including those related to hazardous materials, product segregation, temperature-controlled storage, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mandates applicable to GMP operations.
Key Responsibilities'
Perform all inventory control activities in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and client quality standards.
Conduct accurate cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure alignment between system and physical inventory.
Utilize the WMS to manage inventory transactions, research discrepancies, and implement corrections per procedure.
Maintain accurate, legible, and timely records to support data integrity, traceability, and inspection readiness.
Identify, document, and escalate inventory variances, system errors, temperature concerns, or abnormal conditions to supervision and Quality.
Ensure materials are stored in approved bin locations based on temperature requirements, hazard classification, and segregation rules.
Inspecting parts using gauges and calipers to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
Investigating shortages, overages, and shipment discrepancies and communicating findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
Coordinating return, quarantine, or disposition of nonconforming material per Quality direction.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience operating a turret truck or similar material handling equipment.
Valid forklift/turret truck certification is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working at heights and in narrow warehouse aisles.
Prior experience in a regulated environment preferred
Physical movements including bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily work routine. This role requires regular and sustained work within temperature-controlled cold-chain environments maintained between 2°ree;C and 8°ree;C (35.6°ree;F to 46.4°ree;F). The individual must be able to perform job duties for the duration of their shift within these temperature ranges while wearing appropriate protective or cold-weather gear as required.
Candidates must acknowledge and demonstrate the physical ability to tolerate extended periods of work in refrigerated environments and to safely perform all essential job functions under these conditions.

* Receive, store, issue, load, and unload equipment, and supply items when required. Check incoming orders against items listed on requisitions, invoices, or other forms. Enter receiving information into Pathways Materials Management (PMM) system prior to distribution.
* Utilize PMM system to obtain supply inquire, unit of measure, and pricing information. Issue requisitioned supply items by checking requested items against levels on hand.

What You Will Be Doing
Under general supervision of the Director of Support & Technology Services, the Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for managing and tracking all check-out equipment and will serve as a liaison with the Music & Media Arts Division to ensure the proper equipment is purchased to support current teaching objectives. They will coordinate to provide training and resources for relevant classes and students regarding check-out and installed equipment in production spaces. They will manage scheduling and approvals for the various studio spaces across campus and ensure that they remain in a state of readiness. They will be available to support other areas within the Technology Services area including Shop AV, Event, and Video Production as needed.
Essential Functions

* Provides excellent customer service through friendly, efficient, and prompt communication with customers using appropriate channels.
* Manage all aspects of the AV equipment inventory available for checkout, including access to the equipment, keeping track of chain of custody, inspecting equipment on its return, and collaborating with the AV Engineering Team to test and perform maintenance on equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
* Report problems to Technical Service Team
* Ensures effective use of Music & Media Arts Division studios and equipment by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, overseeing scheduling, and consistently monitoring usage.
* Develop and implement studio management schedule
* Monitor use of studios and equipment through Astra
* Maintains the official records of all inventoried equipment, including the initial inventorying of equipment, assigning identification numbers for equipment items, tracking equipment moves, reporting changes in equipment status, and providing reports relating to property control.
* Recording all acquisitions of equipment
* Follow up on overdue equipment
* Supports and assists the broader Technology Services team for productions, projects, and integrations.
* Attends professional development conferences and audio visual related classes/courses in order to promote better technical support to ITS and customers.
* Performs related and special duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience providing high quality customer service
* Experience working with video, audio, and photography equipment.
* Experience working with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
* Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
* Inventory Control system experience
* Experience working within an institution of higher education
* Experience mixing live audio
* Experience using graphics presentation software (Power Point, ProPresenter 6/7)
* Experience using digital audio workstation and video editing software (Reaper, Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
* Bachelor's or associate degree

The University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics seeks to fill (2) two vacancies within the Storekeeper I classification. The position will support the Medical Center by working under the Storekeeper II and Supply Distribution Manager's indirect supervision to receive, record, maintain, and issue supplies, linen, and equipment items in the Distribution Services Storeroom. This position's available shift is Monday- Friday, 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Receive, store, issue, load, and unload equipment, and supply items when required. Check incoming orders against items listed on requisitions, invoices, or other forms. Enter receiving information into Pathways Materials Management (PMM) system prior to distribution.
* Utilize PMM system to obtain supply inquire, unit of measure, and pricing information. Issue requisitioned supply items by checking requested items against levels on hand.
* Refer situations that involve deviations from established procedures to the Storekeeper II. Replenish supply cabinets/par level carts and linen daily for patient care areas.
* In a location and position convenient for removal, store supplies in bins, on pallets, or shelves. Cycle count items, as assigned.
* Rotate specified stock according to receipt date. Check supplies for expiration and/or damage.
* When required, label supply items with identifying codes, etc.
* Keep records of issuance of supply items.
* Order supplies to maintain inventory par levels using PMM replenishment requisition.
* Demonstrate resourcefulness in applying established methods to handle supply items.
* Assist in interfacing PAREX and PMM.
* Perform Distribution Services related duties and responsibilities, ensuring the section meets it's 24 hours, seven days a week responsibility to the Medical Center.
* Cycle count inventoried and non-inventory materials
* Participate in periodic cycle counts, and other inventories of supply items stored in the area. Participate in staff meetings and required in-services.
* Assist in setting up, and or operating equipment for meeting, in-services, etc.
* Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
