Performs a variety of routine day-to-day operations related to ledger entries, account reconciliation, and other accounting and office duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Journal entry preparation and entry.
2. Processing and batching high volume of cash receipts and bank deposits.
3. Enters cash transactions in ledger and reconciles cash reports.
4. Preparation of spreadsheets for financial analysis.
5. Data entry into Banner and nonprofit ledger software.
6. Running Queries for reports.
7. Printing Hyperion reports and querying Banner.
8. Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records, in compliance with federal and state patient privacy legislation.
9. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

LEAF is updating its Urban Forestry Lesson Guide to help Wisconsin educators engage students in learning about the urban forests that surround their schools. As part of this project, LEAF would like to share the stories of ten professionals whose work is related to urban forestry. The Urban Forestry Career Profile Intern will be responsible for using notes and transcripts from interviews to draft career profiles in a narrative format. The intern will also edit profiles based on feedback from LEAF staff and the featured professionals.
Specific Duties
Use a designated folder in Microsoft Teams to store all work (interview transcripts, profiles, images) related to the Urban Forestry Career Profile Project
Meet with project lead to develop project plan
Participate in bi-weekly check-ins with project lead to discuss progress
Review interview transcripts and notes
Draft career profiles in narrative format
Use AI to check the reading level of profiles and adjust to be at a 6th-8th grade reading level
Share profiles with project lead and LEAF staff for feedback
Edit profiles based on feedback from project lead and LEAF staff
Share profiles with professionals for feedback

Create final draft of profiles
This position is eligible for internship credit (NRES 381) to meet academic requirements.
Hours
This position requires the ability to work approximately 5-10 hours per week over Winter break and/or Spring Semester in the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education office (Student Services Center - Room 201) between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. Remote work during scheduled breaks can be arranged.

The Role
Ithaka S+R is a non-profit research and consulting service that helps the academic and cultural communities serve the public good and navigate economic, technological, and demographic change. Ithaka S+R is currently collaborating with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) to facilitate the Rural Student Success Network (RSSN). The RSSN is a learning cohort that will seek to bolster student success and economic mobility by convening and guiding a network of rural-serving institutions (RSIs) in efforts to improve their programming and practices around community college transfer processes, re-engagement and support for adult learners, and aligning their program offerings with local workforce needs. The S+R team will be supporting institutions by coordinating inter-institutional learning opportunities, providing tailored technical assistance, and producing institution-specific reports with insights about how to optimize improvements for each institution's local context. The team will simultaneously be conducting research activities designed to highlight best practices and identify lessons learned from the literature on student success for the cohort and the field more broadly.
Working with the RSSN project team and reporting to a Ithaka S+R Researcher, the intern will contribute to a number of project activities, including conducting case studies of student success programs, developing institution specific tools for technical assistance support, and planning and facilitating virtual network convenings. The intern will have the opportunity to learn from our team of researchers and institutional partners while contributing to impactful work meant to support both RSIs and the students they serve.

Responsibilities
Interns will participate in a unique learning experience that includes the following core activities:
Address critical challenges in higher education
Develop a broader knowledge of Ithaka S+R's work through exposure to and active participation in discussions beyond the scope of the intern's specific project
Collaborate with researchers and analysts to produce specific deliverables
Present work accomplished during the internship showcasing deliverables achieved and skills learned
Specific project components, tasks required to complete them, and expected project deliverables will be defined in collaboration with the intern's supervisor and additional team members. Potential project topics may include research on best practices for supporting rural learners, with an emphasis on the RSSN's focus areas of 1) community college transfer, 2) re-engaging, re-enrolling, and supporting adult learners, and 3) aligning academic offerings with workforce needs. Components of the work may include:
Contributing to project development (e.g., project scoping, background research, development of mixed methods research instruments).
Participating in data collection (e.g., literature reviews, desk research, conducting interviews and focus groups).
Performing data analysis.
Contributing to project outputs, including reports, memos, blog posts, fact sheets, and slide decks.

Any combination of professional experience, volunteer work, coursework, or other transferable skills may be applied toward these qualifications. Strong candidates will possess several of the following qualifications:
Pursuing a master's degree or Ph.D in a field that requires superior writing, communication, research, and critical thinking skills.

Summary/Objective

Description of Responsibilities
• Assist with intake interviews and client assessments
• Support case managers in developing and tracking individualized service plans
• Help coordinate referrals to community partners and services
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Update client's hard copy files as needed and file away
• Assist in planning and facilitating workshops, events, and resource fairs
• Conduct follow-up calls and check-ins with clients
• Support data entry and reporting for program outcomes
• Help identify resources for client needs such as housing, employment, or childcare
• Provide general administrative support as needed, including answering phone calls, making copies, and assisting with day-to-day office tasks.
• Complete the volunteer intake and required training process for The Methodist Home for Children & Youth
Qualifications/Competencies
• Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for community service and helping families achieve self-sufficiency
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills

The IGNITE Resident Intern is a year-long clinical residency role designed for aspiring educators who hold a bachelor's degree in a non-education field and are pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.). IGNITE residents complete their residency in DeKalb County School District classrooms and participate in a rigorous, cohort-based teacher preparation experience that integrates daily classroom practice, targeted coaching, and graduate-level coursework. Upon successful program completion, residents are prepared and expected to transition into full-time teaching roles in high-priority DeKalb County Schools.
Residents work alongside a trained Mentor Teacher and are supported by a Talent Development Coach through a structured gradual release model, developing the instructional skill, professional identity, and confidence needed to successfully transition into full-time teaching roles within DeKalb County Schools.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Classroom Experience
· Engage four (4) days per week in a year-long clinical placement with a Mentor Teacher, participating in a continuous cycle of planning, instruction, assessment, and reflection.
· Progress through a gradual release of responsibility, beginning with focused classroom observation and co-teaching and advancing toward increased instructional leadership and classroom responsibilities.
· Implement high-quality, standards-aligned instructional practices designed to meet clearly defined learning objectives for all students.
Instructional Practice & Learning Environment
· Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment aligned with DeKalb County School District's mission, vision, and equity commitments.
· Use formative assessments and student data to inform instruction and support diverse learners.
· Apply instructional strategies that address a range of academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs.
Special Education & Diverse Learners
· Learn and actively participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs and 504 plans in collaboration with special education staff and support teams.
· Demonstrate an asset-based, strengths-focused approach to supporting students with disabilities and other diverse learning needs.
Professional Growth & Feedback
· Engage in regular reflective feedback cycles with the Mentor Teacher, University Supervisor, and Talent Development Coach.
· Demonstrate openness to feedback, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to apply feedback to instructional practice.
· Participate fully in IGNITE residency cohort learning experiences, including district-wide professional learning, Bridge Weeks, and required program meetings.
Professional Responsibilities
· Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in alignment with the assigned school's calendar, daily schedule, and IGNITE residency expectations, and communicate absences or schedule changes promptly and professionally.
· Demonstrate professional communication and collaboration with students' families, Mentor Teachers, school administrators, and other school- and district-based staff.
· Adhere to all DeKalb County School District policies and IGNITE program expectations, including participation in required meetings and professional learning.
University Coursework
· Successfully complete all university program requirements, including coursework, assignments, projects, portfolios, and assessments required for the M.A.T. program.
· Maintain satisfactory academic standing as defined by the university partner and IGNITE program expectations.
Minimum Qualifications / Eligibility Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a non-education field
· Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5
· Ability to commit to a full-year, in-person residency aligned to district and university calendars

The UNM Prevention and Populations Sciences (PPS) division is seeking a recent college graduate (bachelor's degree) interested in receiving real-world experience conducting community-engaged prevention research, program evaluation, and public health surveillance. The Professional Intern position is designed to provide training and experience for a recent college graduate to prepare them for a professional position in a field related to health promotion and the prevention of disease and injury. The position will be part of a motivated multi-disciplinary team conducting research studies and evaluation to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in New Mexico. The position will assist the team in all aspects of the projects which focus on evaluating community-based programs to improve health equity, and monitoring and preventing adolescent health risk behaviors. Duties include assisting with study recruitment and qualitative and quantitative data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. The position will also conduct literature reviews and will draft presentations and other dissemination products on various topics. Work will be completed under the supervision of PPS faculty and staff. This position is intended to provide the intern with the skills and knowledge needed to perform the duties of a Research Scientist 1 or HS/Associate Scientist 1 position at the PPS in the future.
Duties and responsibilities for this position may include:
* Recruits school administrators and teachers to participate in CDC School Health Profiles survey.
* Assists with the collection and management of survey data using REDCap and other programs as applicable.
* Assists with collection and management of qualitative data from interviews or focus groups using Dedoose, NVivo, or other programs as applicable.
* Contributes to the analyses of qualitative and quantitative data related to the funded projects under the supervision of faculty and senior professional staff.
* Conducts literature reviews to support the development of reports, presentations and manuscripts.
* Prepares presentations, infographics, and other data visualization products to communicate research and evaluation findings under supervision of faculty and senior professional staff.
* Receives guidance, mentoring and training from professional personnel in the conduct of community-engaged prevention research and evaluation.
