RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for the quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation and close-out to ensure safe, quality, efficient, effective and profitable project execution.
+ Coaches, mentors and trains entire project staff in quality management principles, procedures and project-specific requirements. Serves as mentor and coach to Quality staff to advance their careers at Walsh and improve retention.
+ Responsible for leading and managing quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing and follow-up inspections.
+ Establishes, monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as QIRs for project teams to ensure continuous improvement. Analyzes project KPIs, evaluates trends and provides improvement strategies.
+ Routinely audits project quality programs seeking continuous improvement utilizing Project QC Evaluation and other auditing tools. Provides feedback to Operations and Quality Management of major QIRs, project team relationships, owner/client perceptions, and overall quality management recurring non-conformances.
+ Directs inspection, testing and documentation of the works. Schedules inspection and testing with coordination between operations, consultants, material laboratories and Client.
+ Creates and implements project specific inspection and test plans, quality control plans and other procedures as necessary. Additionally, supports with material specification review such as concrete mix design, thermal control and other quality specialized elements.
+ Responsible for risk management strategy that helps projects improve profitability by reducing risk and improving efficiency via process management and risk mitigation.
+ Maintains relationships with owners, Clients, subcontractors, design partners and stakeholders to support project partnering and issue resolution.
+ Supports Site Safety to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety procedures, requirements and goals.
+ Monitors project quality costs including resources while working to better as-bid budgets. Provides feedback to optimize project billing returns, risk reporting and testing accuracy, while protecting Walsh from claim exposure. Monitors and reports rework costs via QIR system.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ AEC Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent related field experience with International Code Counsel, NICET, etc. Current certification required
+ USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required
+ Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required to review and certify that the test, inspection, and procedures satisfy requirements
+ Limited travel for projects as necessary
+ Level 1 QCM
+ Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years preferred in a Quality role
+ Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
+ Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications of job related duties

Closes off accounts by first checking for any pending activity or balances remaining in the account
Works directly with clients to access documentation requirements and reference data and may be responsible for onsite client support and training to assist with documentation, quality review and submission of documents
Ensures application form is received, and tax documentation is received from the investor
Leads project management activities for onboarding/transitions/conversions such as reporting, planning, issue / risk tracking, scheduling, effort estimation and tracking, and other project documentation preparation
Ensures client receives all necessary training or conducts the training him/herself
Communicates progress to team and escalate issues or potential project delays
Supports conversion activities related to a mix of complex institutional client relationships requiring an in-depth understanding of custody and accounting processing activities
Completes an accurate conversion of data on financial statements for daily, weekly, or monthly valuation clients
Support and review control reports to effectively mitigate risks and resolve problems that arise during the conversion process
Assists with coordinating firm-wide resources (product, technology, marketing, compliance, teams, etc.) to ensure client needs are being addressed
Ensures onboarding/transition/conversion activities meet all compliance, legal and regulatory requirements May participate in UAT, on boarding and fault resolution
Responsible for overall success of less complex or small transitions, ensuring client satisfaction through the monitoring of project quality and efficiency as well as the direct client experience
Guides the client in appropriate platform applications and structure of their program/product offering

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with MicroStation and strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.

Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer in our Industrial Remediation Practices group to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.
The candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and management/oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production. The position requires strong multi-discipline technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively with engineers and scientists on a variety of remediation projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Environmental water collection, conveyance, and treatment system engineering. Including
Stormwater and sediment and erosion control engineering and permitting.
Provide engineering and design support for private industrial and municipal remediation projects.
Develop, coordinate, and provide field oversight of pre-design investigations.
Remedial technology design (water / wastewater) experience.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) related experience (project life-cycle):
Investigation (studies, environmental media sampling, drinking water evaluation, water quality evaluation, groundwater monitoring)
Treatment / Remedial Design (Rapid Small-Scale Column Tests (RSSCTs), feasibility evaluation of treatment technologies, pilot studies, contribute to and support remedial treatment designs)
Remedial implementation (construction support, permitting, design clarifications)
Operations (evaluation of treatment performance, routine and non-routine maintenance activities, development of operation and maintenance plans)
Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Analyze data and prepare and review engineering related reports, plans, calculations, drawings, figures, and specifications using accepted engineering practices and procedures.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
Interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies.
Planning and managing environmental field work, including remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors.
Construction quality assurance and quality control principles and practices.
Supporting project managers with tasks including budgeting, schedule, scope development and cost tracking.
Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
Ability to support business development with pre-proposal meetings, site visits, proposal writing, and reviews.
Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays. May require up to a 20-30% travel commitment at times.
Implement project deliverable requirements of the AECOM Quality Management System.
Demonstrate ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
