This position is 100% in the office. You will manage a criminal case calendar and will provide paralegal support to the attorneys at our firm. You'll assist with the preparation and/or filing of legal documents, handling office correspondence, including returning phone calls and emails, corresponding with courts, reminding the team of upcoming deadlines, and other administrative roles as needed. We use MyCase case management software, and experience with MyCase will help dramatically with transitioning into this job.

Compensation:
$50,000 - $60,000+ yearly
Responsibilities:
Drafting a variety of legal documents using our templates for pleadings, motions, affidavits, etc., and proofreading documents when necessary
Manage client case files with tasks such as preparing and organizing client files, adding upcoming hearings to the calendar, saving all relevant documents to the client's case file, and client correspondence regarding court dates and other related matters
Manage criminal calendars and related tasks such as preparing conflict letters and tables for team calendar meetings, keeping up with the calendar for the upcoming weeks, filing conflict letters, and corresponding with courts and/or judicial staff to assist with resetting hearings
Manage office correspondence and oversee administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with clients and court staff, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
Keeping up with client billing and contacting clients about outstanding invoices
E-filing and/or mailing court documents to courts, prosecuting attorneys' offices, and other parties as needed
Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
Qualifications:

Previous experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a law firm as a paralegal is absolutely necessary. We will train the right person to use our computer-based model that works!
