Jersey City, New Jersey **Hybrid** Contract Grow your career an innovative global bank in Jersey City, NJ as a Big Data Developer with strong Java, Hadoop, Scala, Spark expeirence. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 10+ years hands-on IT experience
+ 5+ years of strong Big Data development experience along with troubleshooting skills with technologies like Spark, Java/Scala and Hive.
+ Must have hands-on development execution experience in building Java/Scala, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Spring Boot based applications.
+ Experience with Spark and Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Yarn, Zookeeper).
+ Basic SQL queries and optimization in Hive, Impala.
+ Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot)
**Desired Skills & Experience**
+ Proficiency in Python and MongoDB
+ Basic Data warehousing concepts like SCD2
+ Experience with Kafka, Elastic
+ Domain knowledge in financial services
**What You Will Be Doing**
+ Hands-on coding Big Data development including building Java/Scala, Spark based applications.
+ Will troubleshoot technologies like Spark, Java/Scala and Hive.
+ Will use SQL queries on Hive/Impala as part of big data development.
+ Perform coding, technical review and resolve technical challenges.
+ Responsible for overall deliverables and highlight any risk.
+ Work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
