* Greet, Direct, inform and assist patrons with facility orientation and complaint resolution.
* Provide clear, tactful oral communication to patrons and fellow staff members.
* Resolves patron complaints concerning performance and environmental issues within the theater. Provides resolution to complaints from lower level staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-04 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-03 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes having at least one (1) year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work which indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the positions to be filled. You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least two years above high school. You must include transcripts.
* OR-
Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the required education completed percentage. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts.
You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. Physical Demands: The incumbent will stand for lengthy periods of time and be both sedentary and active. Incumbent will be expected to do some lifting, bending, and climbing of stairs. Mental stress and physical fatigue may occur due to the high volume of personal contacts, occasional emergency responses, and unruly and/or confrontational patrons.
Working Conditions: Work is performed outdoors in variable climate conditions typical to the area.

MSE owns and operates seven major and minor sports teams: 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, WNBA's 2019 Championship Washington Mystics, NBA G League's Capital City Go-Go, 2021 & 2020 NBA 2K League Champion Wizards District Gaming and Caps Gaming, an esports sub-brand of the Capitals. Additionally, it holds a significant investment in a seventh professional team, Team Liquid, an endemic esports team owned and operated by aXiomatic, in which MSE is an investor.
In September 2022, MSE acquired the regional sports network, then-called NBC Sports Washington and newly rebranded as Monumental Sports Network. Monumental Sports Network now holds the exclusive local television media rights to Capitals', Wizards', and Mystics' games. The network is both a linear channel and a digital operation. Prior to acquiring the linear platform, the digital platform was launched by MSE in 2016, as the first-of-its-kind regional sports network for digital, mobile, and streaming platforms. Those linear and digital platforms are now combined and join Caps Radio, Wizards Radio, MSE Outdoor and Monumental Productions for a full suite of six media enterprises.
In addition to Capital One Arena - a venue which hosts 3M+ visitors across over 250 events annually, MSE also manages MedStar Capitals Iceplex (training facility for the Capitals), MedStar Health Performance Center (training facility for the Wizards, Mystics, and Go-Go) and EagleBank Arena (a 12,000+ live event venue on George Mason University's campus).

THE JOB
The Warner Theatre is seeking an Usher/Greeter/Ticket Taker. As an usher, greeter or ticket taker, you help to ensure safety, help to maintain the cleanliness of the venue and engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Usher will safely and courteously escort venue guests to their seats and will assist with the operation of events.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Greets guests as they enter and exit and assist them in finding their seats
Assists guests with locating exits and amenities such as restrooms and concessions

Calmly assists with disputes involving tickets and seats
Assists with guest complaints or concerns and reports to management
Monitors events for unruly behavior and reports to management

Assist and transport guests as needed around the facility during events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be outgoing and able to provide exceptional customer service
Must be able to adhere to a schedule, arrive on time for events and stay for the duration of events
Must be able to successfully complete provided on-the-job training
Ability to learn venue layout and operating guidelines
Must be at least 18 years of age

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.

May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.
Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.
Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
