The Adams State University Prison Education Program (PEP) is seeking qualified and experienced instructors to design and teach undergraduate courses for its national correspondence program serving incarcerated persons throughout the United States. These courses are delivered via printed study guides and supplemented by assigned readings. Exams will be administered by preapproved proctors, and all student work submitted through standard mail. Instructors are responsible for maintaining digital gradebooks and collaborating regularly with PEP staff to issue grades and support other administrative processes. Whenever possible instructors are encouraged to use Open Educational Resources (OER) in course development rather than traditional textbooks.

Compensation
PEP instructors offering correspondence courses receive $600 for the development of course materials, including a course syllabus, study guide, assignment prompts, exams, and assessment tools. Students may take a year to complete coursework from the course start date, and faculty receive $75/credit hour ($225 for a three-credit-hour course) for each student upon completion of the course. Benefits include retirement and sick leave.

Master's degree in the subject of instruction OR a master's degree in any area of study and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject of instruction.

You will be responsible for providing initial training and development of our New Franchise Distributors on business strategies, sales training, customer relations, computer skills, warranty item returns along with the processing of individual tool repairs. Your responsibilities may also include surveying open and existing list of calls (LOC's) as needed by corporate business demands for our Distributors. Other responsibilities may require and include setting up point of sale equipment and merchandising the Distributors mobile store using affinity grouping methods as outlined through policy.
This position may also require aiding the New Franchise Distributor in positioning product and Matco toolboxes in their mobile retail store environment as needed. This position requires someone to be based out of the Western Half of the United States, time zones including Central, Mountain and Pacific.
This is a heavy traveling role **(80%+)** , and you must live within an hour of a major airport. National and potentially international travel is a specific characteristic of this position.
**What You Will Do**
+ Provide one-on-one coaching methods using the Matco Business System (MBS) including, but not limited to, proprietary software systems, sales and customer service training, product promotions, and business management skills to new franchise distributors
+ Report on the progress of our New Franchise Distributors to field management and associates at Matco headquarters in Stow, OH. Complete training playbook criteria requirements during each phase of training, including noting training exceptions
+ Provide targeted performance improvement coaching on all aspects of their business to promote success and longevity
+ Provide focused support to existing distributors who require follow-up assistance by conducting distributor business reviews, distributor rides, route survey support, distributor tune-up training, and other programs as required by business needs
+ Complete performance improvement plan and measurement of franchisee performance vs. benchmarks during coaching/learning intervention
+ Provide lead generation training to new franchise distributors
+ Contribute to:
+ Improvement of distributor retention to support company growth initiatives
+ Improvement of overall weekly purchase average to improve franchisee profitability
+ Implementation of standardized methods to interface effectively with Matco processes and reduce transactional variations
+ Lead the development and implementation of the sales funnel process at the franchise distributor level
+ Provide customer input and sales management support to new product delivery processes
+ Motivate, train, and manage franchise distributors on Matco products and other point-of-sale (POS) initiatives

The Adams State University Prison Education Program (PEP) is seeking experienced instructors to develop and teach undergraduate courses for incarcerated students in Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) facilities located in Cañon City, Denver, and Limon.
Preference will be given to instructors available to teach face-to-face inside correctional facilities. In some cases, courses may be live-streamed to additional sites or delivered via video platforms such as Google Classroom to meet instructional needs. Instructors are encouraged to use Open Educational Resources (OER) in place of traditional textbooks whenever feasible.
All applicants must comply with CDOC regulations and successfully complete a background check and CDOC training prior to beginning instruction.

Compensation
All face-to-face courses are offered on a semester basis with variable pay based upon credentialing, experience, and market demand. Terminally-qualified instructors will receive $3,600/course with instruction-related travel costs supported by the program. Benefits include retirement and sick leave.
