Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive psychological and developmental evaluations for children and adolescents, integrating ADOS-2, cognitive, adaptive, and language measures.
Draft reader-friendly diagnostic reports that meet DSM-5 and payer documentation standards, typically within five business days of testing.
Provide compassionate, plain-language feedback to caregivers, including individualized recommendations that bridge school, home, and therapy settings.
Collaborate daily with BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs to translate assessment findings into evidence-based treatment plans.
Maintain full compliance with Utah licensure rules, Medicaid guidelines, and commercial-insurance requirements.
Contribute to program development, quality-improvement projects, and peer case consultation.
Participate in (and optionally lead) journal clubs, CE workshops, and mentoring of post-docs or practicum students.
Required Qualifications
Doctorate (PhD / PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
Unrestricted Utah psychologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Formal ADOS-2 training with 2+ years administering autism batteries.
Eligibility for Medicaid and major-payer credentialing.

Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health.

Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct biopsychosocial mental health and substance use disorder assessments consisting of a face-to-face interview and the use of ASAM and other diagnostic instruments.
Develop and update client treatment plans consistent with the biopsychosocial assessment and the Medicine Wheel model of wellness.
If needed, obtain training (paid by facility) to become familiar with White Bison's “Wellbriety” 12-step and other curricula and utilize them in facility services.
Utilize evidence-based practices (EBPs) for SUD treatment and co-occurring disorders.
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-person and via telehealth (Zoom, etc.).
Attend and participate fully in weekly staff meetings.
Actively seek opportunities to increase therapeutic expertise through continuing education.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in mental health field from an accredited college or university
Hold or qualify for an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or CMHC, Psychologist or pre-licensed equivalent with no current restrictions. Licensure may be from any U.S. state at time of hire. Utah licensure should be obtained within one year of hire; NAT-SU will reimburse any fees associated with obtaining a Utah license to practice.
Minimum of two (2) years working with substance abuse and/or dual diagnosis preferred, however, equivalent training will be provided for the right candidate.
