HumanEdge Health is seeking a Travel LCSW (Behavioral Health) for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility serving adults ages 18 and older. This role focuses on providing counseling, behavioral support, and recovery-focused treatment to patients with substance use disorders and related behavioral health needs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekend coverage
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Duties
Provide individual and group counseling to patients recovering from substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other behavioral health conditions
Support patients in modifying maladaptive behaviors and developing coping strategies
Maintain firm, empathic boundaries while fostering a therapeutic environment
Perform CIWA and COWS assessments
Conduct and monitor urine analyses (UAs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team and support family counseling as appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation in the HCS electronic medical record system

Beds: 50 total (20 female / 30 male)

The Crisis Stabilization Clinician will play a vital role in providing immediate intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, promoting stabilization and connecting them with appropriate resources for ongoing care.
Responsibilities Include:
-Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals in crisis to determine immediate needs and appropriate interventions.
-Provide clinical supports both at our residential location at Camp Sunnyside as well as in the community, serving Polk County and the greater Des Moines metro area.
-Provide crisis intervention services, including counseling, de-escalation techniques, and action planning.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate follow-up care and support services.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress towards stabilization goals.
-Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Loan Repayment Option:

Benefits:

-Competitive salary commensurate with experience. The salary range for the Crisis Stabilization Clinician position is $57,200 to $74,360 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, Easterseals Iowa offers a bilingual pay differential of $5,000 per year for clinicians fluent in languages other than English, or $2.50 more per hour for part-time team members. We believe in fair compensation for the valuable skills and expertise our employees bring to their roles.
Bonuses for working one day on the weekend (Saturdays or Sundays). Full-time employees begin at $60,000; Part-time employees would get $1.40 more per hour.

FFT is a short-term, strength-based model that focusses on assessment and intervention in order to address risk and protective factors within and outside the family that impact the adolescent and his or her adaptive development.
FFT Therapists have the option to work in a hybrid model after 90 days of employment, and mileage to and from appointments is reimbursed.

What you'll do:
* Provide services to youth and families following the Functional Family Therapy practice
* Achieve the Functional Family Therapy phases of treatment
* Attend Court hearings, staffing's and other activities per the Functional Family Therapy plan
* Complete all necessary documentation
* Attend and participate in all Functional Family Therapy training and consultation activities

The PSLF forgives the remaining balance on your federal Direct Loans after you make 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full time for a qualifying public service employer (such as Orchard Place).

What s your day-to-day look like?
Diagnose and treat mental health disorders with the utmost compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence
Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients
Create and update individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances
Make recommendations/referrals to specialists as necessary
Maintain thorough notes of client interactions and adhere to strict confidentiality standards
Accept a variety of insurances
Attend team meetings and clinical consultative meetings
Work with a variety of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups within your skill-set and scope of practice
Collaborate in the most effective possible ways with your clients using empirically supported treatment models and outcome measures to enhance outcomes and the therapeutic relationship

What experience and qualifications are we looking for?
Must be a fully licensed clinical mental health therapist or have a temporary license in one of the following disciplines: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LMSW, LMHC-t, or LMFT-t
Must maintain knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and Evidenced-Based Models
Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills
