Responsibilities
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
Additional Preferences
Acute care experience preferred (clinical or student experience).
Emergency department, critical care units, and/or vestibular experience preferred.

Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including client diagnostic records and progress notes. Progress notes are to be developed 48 hours after every session.
Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.

Qualifications:
Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in state of occupancy
Must hold a Master's degree in the field of Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current valid BLS CPR card
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.
