The Therapist provides direct clinical services to adults enrolled in The Annexs residential, day program and OP programs, working primarily with individuals presenting with high clinical acuity. The primary population includes clients diagnosed with personality disorders, complex PTSD, attachment-related injuries, and other co-occurring mental health conditions.
This role requires advanced clinical skill and comfort working in high-intensity, and at times highly confrontational, treatment environments. Therapists are expected to engage clients who may demonstrate significant emotional dysregulation, interpersonal conflict, and high-risk behaviors, including suicidality, self-harm, and verbal aggression. The Therapist must maintain therapeutic presence, clear boundaries, and clinical objectivity while delivering empathetic, structured, and individualized care.
Core responsibilities include conducting individual, group, and family therapy; performing ongoing risk assessment and crisis intervention; developing and updating individualized treatment plans; collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team; and completing timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
