SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK Professionals at this level are experienced and able to work with a minimum of supervision. Educational requirements are very specific. Decision making, problem solving, and highly developed interpersonal skills are critical. This position will work specifically, in a telehealth capacity. The individual will have the ability to sign up for weekday evenings/overnights and weekends according to their availability. Frequency of coverage is extremely flexible. Work Schedule: on call as needed Compensation: Weekly stipend if $140 week and $125/assessment completed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy Two years or more experience Nebraska licensed required - LMHC or LISW required Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides crisis intervention and assessment of clients for the Crisis Center. Determines client needs and makes recommendations and referrals to appropriate level of care. Assessments are provided via telehealth, while the client is at the Crisis Center. Conducts a crisis focused assessment within 30 minutes of the initial request and documentation to be completed within 24 hours of crisis call. Establishes an intervention plan, with client participation, which specifies immediate treatment needs and follow-up. Provides referrals to clients, including a direct referral to the Crisis Center's case management program. Ability to handle complex cases. Ability to be on-call, Monday through Friday. Hours include availability from 5:00PM to 8:00AM on weekdays and entire day coverage on weekends. On-call requires answering of crisis phone during the night hours/weekends and ability to respond to situations via telehealth during those hours within 30 minutes. Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance. Refers to other Heartland Family Service programs and other community services, as necessary either concurrent with services or for aftercare. Maintains clinical record, meeting established standards of timeliness and completeness. Is prompt and accurate in completing all required reports, statistics and other requirements. Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency. Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff. Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements. Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media. This will include evening or weekend appointments. *Provides child assessments to assess mother-child bond and makes recommendations to improve attachment. *Provides parent-child therapy with program participants as needed. *Coordinates and assists in collecting needed records for cross-site evaluation data and client files, particularly for the non-residential family members. *Determines whether client is appropriate for agency services; determines needed level of care; refers (internal or external) to appropriate level of care. Conducts a comprehensive intake interview, including 5 axis diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations. *Establishes a treatment plan, with client participation, which specifies treatment structure, outcomes, goals and objectives. *Provides individual and group substance abuse and mental health treatment in accordance with best practices. *Provides educational workshops, classes and presentations on family life and other related topics as assigned. *Provides counseling to individuals, couples and families in group or individual settings, within the framework of the treatment plan and monitors progress. *Works as a team member with other program staff to provide trauma-informed care to clients. *Administers clinical measures to monitor client progress and program effectiveness. *Handles cases of the highest degree of complexity. *Provides mental health crisis intervention as needed. *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance. Meets clinical requirements of third-party payers (authorizations, reviews, documentation) and provides information necessary for prompt and accurate billing. Maintains relationships with referral sources. Coordinates care when provided by multiple practitioners. Therapist, I-IV - $2,000 Hiring Bonus! Job Type Full-Time A Therapist provides integrated therapeutic and educational services and support to individuals, groups, and families. The position will assess, screen, and connect participants with appropriate levels of care in an outpatient setting. Job Duties: Provide mental health and/or substance use assessments, treatment interventions, and counseling to individuals, couples, and families to impact changes leading to growth and healing. Assist clients in identifying natural support and community resources to ensure stabilization. Maintain programmatic direct service unit expectations. Build and maintain a caseload and/or referral base. Create and continuously review and update program participant symptoms and behaviors and adjust treatment/program and safety plan and required documentation accordingly.
