• Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification

· Environment is a forty-four (44) bed residential treatment atmosphere with access to an outside patio. Work environment may include exposure to outside weather conditions

· Exposure to disturbed and potentially aggressive patients is possible. Stress ranges from low to intense depending on the situation

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment

· Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and random for upon reasonable suspicion of use

· Completion of orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work

· Demonstrated computer literacy

· Completion of CPR/First Aid Training before hire

· Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training

· Completion of Health and Welfare background check

Substance Abuse Therapist – PHP - Part-Time

Open a new chapter of inspired care as a Substance Abuse Therapist at UF Health Florida Recovery Center in Gainesville, Florida.

This part-time opportunity will allow you to serve as an influential member of the FRC interdisciplinary, physician-led team specializing in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with substance use disorders and their families. This role will allow you to:


Manage all aspects of an assigned caseload, including initial and ongoing assessments of clinical needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Utilize patient and family engagement strategies.
Anticipate and prevent early withdrawal from treatment.
Foster good long-term recovery outcomes by facilitating continuity of care, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, level 1 outpatient, phase 4, sober living, engagement in community-based mutual help fellowship, and FRC alumni society affiliation.
Work with referral source and collateral professionals assigned to cases, including referring physicians, social workers, law enforcement and legal representatives.
Develop and provide therapeutic and educational activities utilizing individual, family and group modalities.
Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis with other therapists.
Ensure patients’ rights are protected, including HIPPA and CFR 42 confidentiality.
Write and send high-quality and timely reports to collateral professionals as authorized by the patient.
Develop and implement comprehensive discharge plans/continuity of care plans in concert with FRC treatment team and collateral professional.
Document patient care in accordance with The Joint Commission, ASAM and hospital standards.
Work with a high degree of professionalism and independence.
Participate productively in individual and group clinical supervision, demonstrating consistent professional growth.
We are seeking Florida-licensed, or eligible, mental health counselors, social workers, psychologists or marriage and family therapists with a master’s or PhD in a mental health-related field and at least one year of postgraduate experience in addiction, substance abuse inpatient or outpatient treatment. Candidates with additional addiction certification are preferred. Recovering professionals with at least three years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding hire are encouraged to apply.

Our Substance Abuse Therapists receive competitive compensation ranging between $25.48 and $35.54/hour (commensurate with experience).

Job Summary

Performs therapeutic massage services for Club Members of the TGH Fitness Center members based on individual needs. Offers personalized services while maintaining a positive, helpful and professional approach with all clients. Performs full body massage in the Fitness Center and chair massages in the hospital and offsite locations. Remains knowledgeable of Florida massage law and requirements. Contributes to the success of the TGH Fitness Center by assisting with membership promotions. Reviews and maintains client schedule in Fitness Center software system. Cleans and disinfects equipment and maintains the massage therapy room. Maintains inventory of linens and supplies. Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications Required Skills

Current CPR/AED certification required. High School diploma required. Current Florida Massage License. Specialty massages may require additional certifications. A minimum experience of 3 years as a licensed massage therapist required. Experience with specialty massages such as cupping, pre-natal, sports and deep tissue preferred.
