The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible clinical psychologist at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities include providing science-based psychological assessment and treatment for adult outpatients with all categories of psychiatric disorders, with a particular emphasis on providing care to individuals with addiction and substance abuse disorders. Secondary responsibilities include the provision of education, supervision, and training to clinical psychology graduate students, medical students, and psychiatry residents and fellows. Summary of essential job functions Plan and administer trauma-informed therapeutic treatment using ARC evidence-based interventions Provide comprehensive and initial diagnostic assessment of all referred clients utilizing interviews, well recognized criteria, and program-specific tools to evaluate client needs. Provide community education services, consultation as assigned, and crisis intervention as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary staffing as needed.
