Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications. Description of Services This position is based inside an Army Correctional (prison) environment. This position will go through a paid physical conditioning course (low to medium difficulty, takes place inside a gym) prior to starting. 75% of inmates are ex-military sexual offenders. The remaining 25% are ex-military other types of offenders. The position is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective treatment and rehabilitation for long term inmates. Highly specialized and unique treatment programs include but are not limited to: Violent Offender Treatment, Sexual Offender, Substance Abuse, and general mental health. Assignment also includes collecting and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness to justify initiation, continuation, discontinuance, or modification of specialized individual or group treatment programs. Air Force and Army correctional rehabilitation programs metric and program analysis is performed to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. The clinical psychologist will serve as part of the patient care team, including representatives of their medical-care disciplines. They speak and deal responsibly concerning professional and scientific matters in their specialized subject-matter area both within and beyond their own organization. The position is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationship with other members of the DoD correctional community. Program successes and failures will require peer and DoD review briefings. Presentations to Service representatives, as well as professional agencies and organizations, are required to educate and influence actions related to advancing the goals of rehabilitation programs. The position coordinates with counterparts as Sister Service Headquarters, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and civilian correctional agencies worldwide on program evaluation issues 2.0 DUTIES 5-9 patients per day case load Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges. Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate. Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders. Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries. Assist in rehabilitation of patients. 3.0 WORK HOURS Monday through Thursday 0700-1700 with 1 hour paid lunch break 40 hours per week.

Provides therapy at designated school locations in school settings in Wichita and surrounding communities. Provides therapy with an emphasis of prevention. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health and recover from mental illness. The scope of service includes diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues in a culturally sensitive, age appropriate manner, consistent with best practice approaches. Essential Responsibilities: Provides therapeutic services in order to maintain required productivity/billing standard. Meets deadlines and ensures accuracy of various report/paperwork, mileage sheets, and electronic timesheets. Maintains accurate documentation of service provision. Completes progress notes in a manner that individualizes each note, reflecting appropriate interventions and progress towards goals. Submits required progress notes/billing information in a timely manner as per agency and insurance guidelines and contracts. Performs clinical assessments, formulates diagnoses, and develop treatment plans based on medical necessity and best practice interventions. Evaluates clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information, including monitoring of clients's use of medication. Provides therapy services to clients and families, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming mental illness and making changes. Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with identified problems. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives. Modifies treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to adapt with changes in clients' status. Counsels family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting clients. Meets with families, probation officers, police, and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment. Initiates discharge planning with clients to facilitate termination. Gathers information about client health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy. Refers patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary. Learns about new developments in the field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminar, and establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies. Special Requirements for School Based Therapist: BSRB Licensed LPC, LMSW, LMFT; Play Therapy training preferred but not required Independence, flexibility, mobility, ability to carry 25-50 pounds of therapy materials in and out of various schools, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, dependability, consistency and good organization skills. Position requires reliable transportation, frequent transition between schools, transportation of therapy materials, laptop, etc. between schools, office and home, physical mobility within schools is necessary to transport students to and from therapy sessions as needed Position Requirements : Must have a Master's degree (or above) and possess licensure in their respective field of study.
