Responsibilities: Provide meaningful instruction to program participants in assigned Day Habilitation Programs. Develop and implement community based/in-house programming in accordance with program participants needs, preferences, and desires as per their Life Plan. Summary of Responsibilities A Behavioral Health Practitioner (BHP) works under the direction and supervision of a Clinical Manager, providing community-based behavioral health services to individuals with psychiatric illness, substance use issues and/or co-occurring disorders. The BHP must be open and willing to work with culturally and gender diverse groups and individuals to facilitate goals of self-efficacy. This position requires a high degree of self-initiative and motivation. The schedule is flexible, as determined by the person served' s needs and may include early morning, evening or weekend appointments. The position may involve services provided in the designated BHS clinic, driving to persons served homes or various locations within the community where services are provided (if services are offered on-site according to the program and funding source.) It may include telehealth services utilizing both audio and visual communication with individuals. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay brings help, hope and healing to people facing serious life challenges or trauma resulting from sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, substance abuse, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, emotional or situational problems. The MSW Intern supports this mission by providing clinical counseling services to clients impacted by trauma, in addition to assisting with community outreach and awareness. This position reports to an on-site supervisor that is established prior to hours being completed. Strategic/Transformational Duties and Responsibilities * Deliver therapeutic services rooted in evidence-based practices including CPT and TF-CBT. * Promote trauma-informed healing through individual and group therapy. * Assist with community education and awareness initiatives to expand understanding of trauma.
