About this Position:
As an Occupational Therapist in our outpatient clinics, you will have the time and resources to provide one-on-one carewith 45-minute treatment sessions, ensuring high-quality interactions and better patient outcomes. With a maximum of 10 patients per day, you'll have the opportunity to focus on delivering personalized care without the burden of overwhelming caseloads. We also offer flexible scheduling options, including weekends and holidays off, to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
In this role you will be responsible for examining, evaluating and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and assess the ongoing effects of intervention. The OT is also responsible for alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities include reducing the risk of injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability, including the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness in populations of all ages. The OT will be engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The OT will be expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. **Responsibilities**

+ Under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist, social worker, psychiatric nurse or psychologist, responsible for providing a wide range of behavioral health interventions from prevention to treatment to individuals
+ Under the supervision of a credentialed provider, conduct intakes, assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients, and counsel clients/patients with personal, behavioral or psychological problems
+ Working independently, perform a full range of standard and nonstandard work assignments and resolve a variety of non-recurring problems encountered on own initiative
+ Assign work by defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and provides guidance on assignments that do not have clear precedents
+ Use judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guideline for application to the work situation at hand
+ Refer unusual matters not specifically covered by policy statements or published regulations to the Government supervisor

**Additional Responsibilities**

+ Administer psychophysiological tests and assessments under the supervision of a licensed medical/mental health professional
+ Populate and maintain a computerized database which will contain the listing of all units within the HQ organization and identify the number of service members assigned to each unit/Directorate to compile monthly training statistics
+ Prepare daily correspondence, i.e., training agendas, meeting agendas, purchase orders, clinical appointments
+ Collect and maintain monthly statistical data assigned workplace
+ Prepare and maintain attendance rosters and statistical data for all active-duty personnel who attended Social Work/Behavioral Health services
+ Assist in developing program operating instructions and work with providers to uncover inefficiencies and make recommendations for corrective action
+ Make comparison reviews, including office time sheets, to ensure program operations are managed within budget
+ Be responsible for the development and implementation of appointment templates for clinical providers
+ Place physical maintenance work orders and maintain hand receipts for physical property and inventory
+ Ensure proper supply stock levels and order specialized behavioral health forms and tests
+ Assist or independently gather data for various presentations such as process improvements initiatives, longitudinal statistical tracking, hospitalizations, and discharges
+ Manipulate data and present using software applications
+ Provide information via telephone and in person to the members of the Command, the professional staff, civilian and military personnel in response to inquiries regarding appointments
+ Interface frequently with the Command's family support organizations
+ Maintain competency folders in accordance with program policy
+ Coordinate attendance and agenda at Case Review Committee with military and civilian agencies
+ Coordinate and reserve meeting location, verify attendance and prepare current and tentative following week's agenda
+ Prepare open and closed case reports for required special handling of outpatient medical records in accordance with regulations
+ Maintain a resource library for use by professional staff and customers. Select library materials with the intent of providing knowledge, ideas and support to practitioners in the fields of education, clinical social work and family studies
+ Provide services to families desiring information on healthy family life and parenting skills
**Key Qualifications**
+ Associate degree or commensurate level of training, e.g. military mental health technician, for a psychiatric technician or mental health program assistant. Education requirement may be met by military or comparable training. If military trained, the individual's specialty must be as a mental health technician/specialist.
+ At least three years' experience as a psychiatric technician
+ Possess a sound foundation/basis to psychology and/or social work
+ Possess knowledge of addressing the basics of conflict management and how to de-escalate crisis situations and individuals who are agitated, violent or potentially violent and/or suicidal
+ Prior training to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means
+ Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association, with documentation provided

JOB SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides and/or produces a variety of services for clients living in an assigned residential facility. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

With an Associates degree or a high school diploma, completion of certification as a Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT) required within time frame allotted per Agency policy.

Knowledge of mental illness, counseling techniques, behavior modification preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate accounting of all controlled medications, completing proper medication records as required. Distributes medications to clients, reporting any observed problems to supervisor or other appropriate official.
Provide assistance, guidance and instruction to clients with tasks relating to the development, reinforcement and maintenance of skills necessary to perform daily living functions independently and with an acceptable level of competence. Such tasks include laundry, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and personal business management.
Perform housekeeping chores as assigned/needed to include activities normally associated with proper maintenance of living quarters (i.e. vacuuming, dusting, washing, trash removal, wiping various surfaces, etc.).
Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of behavioral programs and provides one-on-one and group counseling sessions. Plans, conducts and documents sessions in accordance with policies and procedures.
Log, journal and/or report, observations regarding client behavior, unusual activities and/or events that may be proper to communicate to other staff or information that is deemed appropriate to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility.
Maintain appropriate client-related documentation including service implementation plans, behavioral and intervention reports, primary summaries, activity reports, etc.
Participates in client-related activities, comprehensive service implementation plan meetings, staff meetings, etc.

Job Description
The Discharge Planner is a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team within the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) serving adults and children/adolescents. This position is responsible for coordinating timely, safe, and clinically appropriate discharge planning from admission through discharge, ensuring continuity of care, compliance with the Florida Baker Act, AHCA requirements, and CARF standards. The Discharge Planner serves as an advocate and liaison among individuals served, families/guardians, treatment team members, courts, and community providers to support successful transitions to the least restrictive level of care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.
Initiates discharge planning at admission and continuously updates the discharge plan throughout the individual's stay.
Develops individualized discharge plans based on presenting symptoms, identified risk factors, treatment progress, prior admissions, and barriers to care, in coordination with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Coordinates aftercare services including outpatient appointments, medication access, transportation, housing arrangements, school coordination for minors, and linkage to community resources.
Ensures post discharge follow-up appointments are scheduled within required timeframes (within 7 days of discharge), as clinically indicated.
Prepares, organizes, and maintains discharge resource packets to promote continuity of care and successful transition following discharge.
Maintains clear, timely, and professional communication with the attending psychiatrist/provider regarding discharge planning, identified barriers to discharge, court related timelines, and aftercare arrangements.
Monitors and tracks Baker Act time clocks, including voluntary, involuntary, and court related deadlines, to support timely discharge planning, petitions, and coordination of care in compliance with Florida statute and AHCA requirements.
Maintains awareness of critical timeframes related to rights to release, first and second opinions, petitions for involuntary placement, and court hearings, and alerts the attending physician and supervisory staff to upcoming or impending deadlines.
Communicates time sensitive Baker Act status updates to the interdisciplinary treatment team to support timely decision making, discharge coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Documents Baker Act time clock monitoring activities and related communications in the clinical record as required by agency policy.
Relays relevant discharge planning information obtained from families, guardians, law enforcement, community providers, courts, and collateral contacts to the physician and interdisciplinary treatment team to support informed clinical decision-making.
Prepares, completes, and organizes all required discharge documentation, including discharge summaries, notices of discharge, state hospital (7000) packets, and related materials.
Maintains and distributes a daily inventory of scheduled and anticipated discharges, identifying expected discharges, pending tasks, missing documentation, and time sensitive requirements.
Ensures all discharge related documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with AHCA regulations, CARF standards, Baker Act requirements, and agency policy.
Tracks outstanding discharge related documentation and promptly addresses or escalates missing, incomplete, or time-sensitive items.
Conducts assigned chart audits related to discharge planning elements (follow-up appointments, discharge summaries, notices of discharge, required signatures) and reports findings to supervisory staff.
Prepares, encrypts, securely transmits, and files court related petitions and legal packets through appropriate court systems, including submission to the Public Defender's Office and other authorized parties prior to scheduled court dates.
Scans, uploads, and files court orders, treatment plans, discharge documents, and other required clinical or legal records into AVATAR and other designated systems in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicates effectively with families, guardians, case managers, schools, courts, DCF, law enforcement and other involved agencies while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Adheres to client rights, confidentiality, informed consent, and least restrictive care principles.
Ensures discharge planning reflects continuity of care, individualized needs, and community integration consistent with CARF standards.
Completes other duties as required by program or agency needs.
