RESPONSIBILITIES Must be comfortable with group acupuncture sessions and working multiple rooms at a time. Understand the Serasana model of health and wellness, and work together with fellow team members to help our clients take full advantage of available offerings Meet with clients to obtain information about their concerns, symptoms, medical history, diet, lifestyle, and psychological health Make diagnoses, according to Chinese Medicine and determine session strategies Explain procedures to clients and prepare them for session Identify precise locations on client's body where needles should be inserted, or where electrical or heat stimulation is to be applied Competent with the following modalities: acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion and electrical stimulation of the needles Following each session, consult with the client about other therapies, diet, exercise, and overall wellness Suggest appropriate inclusion of herbal medicine, and provide client with Wellness Prescription Evaluate session outcomes and maintain client records as SOAP Notes Comply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as laws and regulations Maintain continuing education requirements, read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulations Clean therapy rooms and equipment used after sessions Attend and participant in meetings and training Report to the Manager QUALIFICATIONS Current acupuncture license Up to date on continuing education Current personal liability insurance REQUIREMENTS Frequent bending at the waist Brisk walking and keen eyesight Ability to assist disabled clients Ability to lift 50 lbs.
