The Physical Therapist I (Entry/competent), Outpatient is responsible for the assessment and treatment of functional impairments including orthopedic injuries, neurologic conditions, oncology/lymphedema, and women's/men's health. Competent: - Coordinates external resources and support for patients and families. - Completion of yearly mandatory education for employment and VA licensure. - Other duties as assigned. - Participates in at least one community service activity that is Centra sponsored or related to the PT profession. - Serves as a Clinical Instructor for a physical therapy student clinical 1-2, or an intern (greater than 30 hours) applying to PT school. - Provides one in-service annually to staff. - Completes two of the following: - Participates as a member of the APTA with at least 50% attendance. - Participates in efforts to impact/affect legislation in professional area. - Performs clinical activity or special project as pre-approved by manager. - Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, rehab assistants, and other support staff.
