The Washoe County Employees Association (WCEA) Non-Supervisory Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) covers the Mental Health Counselor II positions at Human Services Agency and the Sheriff's Office. Completes all paperwork in a timely manner. · Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients, ensure confidentiality is maintained, and adhere to all local, state, and federal privacy laws related to the practice of mental health and substance abuse. · Conduct support groups (both internal and external) as requested. · Conduct patient testing and assessment as determined appropriate by clinic management in accordance with skills and training. · Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to evaluate the medical, mental, emotional, and physical conditions of clients. Education/Regulations · Participate in regular treatment team meetings and clinical supervision. · Maintain required Continuing Education (CEU) connected to state license. · Represent the program at educational meetings as requested by management. · Work cooperatively with management to ensure that all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and standards are met, including state licensure requirements.
