ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assesses hospice and palliative care patients of all ages to identify needs and provide interventions that meet individual needs. Collects data in collaboration with the patient and/family as demonstrated by the documentation on the patient record. Performs the initial assessment of needs during first visit and documents those needs within appropriate time frame. Assesses the emotional well-being, physical health, social function, communication abilities and cognitive skills through musical responses. Communicates findings and problems to appropriate team members. Plans and implements care for patients of all ages based on needs assessed to ensure individualized care. Identifies and documents problems, and sets developmentally appropriate goals, time frames, and interventions. Provides and documents direct patient care according to the Care Plan, within set target dates, and according to all departmental policies. Designs music sessions for individuals and groups based on client needs. Provides basic and specialized teaching as required in the Plan of Care and documents the response of patients and/or family in the patient's record. Regularly evaluates patient's progress, takes prompt action when any change in the patient's condition is noted or reported, and terminates care when goals of management are attained for patients of all ages. Participates in treatment planning, ongoing evaluation and follow-up. Re-evaluates and documents the patient's response to music therapy. Based on patient response does appropriate modifications to the Care Plan in a timely manner. Recognizes changes in the patient's physical and mental status and informs health care professionals within a reasonable timeframe. Identifies own learning needs and seeks direction/approval from supervisor to meet those needs as documented on the goal section of the performance appraisal. Educates staff about the role of the Music Therapist and the use of music therapy interventions with hospice patients and families. Assesses and monitors program development and evaluation of music therapy services. Attends all mandatory Hospital initiated training Communicates effectively and tactfully with clients, recognizing their age, cultural diversity, needs, abilities and physical condition. Can be depended upon to report to work on-time, use time off appropriately, and complete annual education & medical requirements. Performs other and related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred. Graduate of an approved music therapy program; Board Certified as a Music Therapist. The Mental Health Clinician provides individual outpatient psychotherapy and mental performance consultation to athletes navigating a wide variety of challenges including but not limited to identity development, REDS and/or eating disorders, life transitions, depression, anxiety and performance anxiety. The clinician supports athletes seeking to elevate their overall performance and wellness in and out of sport. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the athlete experience, trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual outpatient psychotherapy to female athletes of all ages, with a focus on injury recovery, identity transitions, anxiety, depression, and performance-related stressors. Deliver therapeutic support for athletes experiencing Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDS), eating disorders, or disordered eating in close collaboration with dietitians and medical providers. Participate in regular multidisciplinary case rounds and consultations with team members to ensure comprehensive treatment planning and coordinated care. Utilize an evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to care. Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and regularly assess progress. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and licensing standards. Provide psychoeducation to athletes and their families on mental health topics related to sports, recovery, and resilience. Engage in ongoing professional development related to sport psychology, eating disorders, and best practices in athlete mental health care. Required Qualifications: Hold a completed master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field from an accredited program or doctoral level degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program. Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, PsyD, Ph.D.) in the state of Massachusetts no later than 6 months after hire date. At least 1-3 years post-graduate clinical experience in providing mental health services to athletes throughout the lifespan. Experience working with athletes, preferably in a sports medicine setting. Clinical experience with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, injury recovery, and/or eating disorders. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.     Adolescent Psychotherapist (full-time) Metrowest Nutrition and Therapy is looking for a passionate and collaborative full-time adolescent psychotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary group practice. We have two office locations - Newton Centre and Framingham and offer telehealth services to our clients. This is a hybrid position that combines work in Newton and telehealth services provided remotely. Position Overview: The psychotherapist plays a central role on our multidisciplinary team. This position is for a masters level clinician (MA, LCSW, LICSW, PhD, PsyD, LMHC) with a minimum of one year eating disorder experience. Experience and training in Family-Based Therapy, DBT, Expressive Therapy, ACT, Somatic Experiencing and/or IFS and trauma is highly preferred. Candidates must be fully licensed in the state of Massachusetts. A minimum of one year working with eating disorders, preferably with adolescents, is required.
