General Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Community Services for Families Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Therapist will provide assessment services for CSF families with children 0-18 and have domestic violence as the reason for the referral. Conduct assessments both in person and occasional virtual sessions in the office and in the community
Evaluate all members of the family living in the home for domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, trauma, and other significant needs.
Make recommendations on the basis of assessment findings for preventive or treatment services to mitigate exposure to trauma (for children) and to mitigate/treat issues negatively impacting child safety (for parent/caregivers).
Provide initial recommendations for treatment, mental health and/or other services to County Social Worker within 3 business days of completing assessment.
Complete and submit a written follow up report of assessment findings to referring party within 10 business days including assessment tools used, outcomes for each family member, type and level of services recommended, likelihood of a successful treatment outcomes, formal and informal interventions to strengthen family functioning to ensure child safety, prevention services to mitigate future effects of current child trauma, Family Centered Meetings attended, CSF referrals, and other information.
Participates in Child and Family Team Meetings to discuss client progress in services and support them in achieving their case plan goals.
Participates in Multi-Disciplinary Teams with County staff as needed.
Participates in quarterly CSF countywide peer review process to discuss service delivery and improve upon best practices.
Maintains ongoing communication with the CSF team to ensure quality of service delivery.
Maintains detailed case files and documentation utilizing County approved forms and formats.
Produces monthly reports of activities and submits to the CSF Supervisor.
Remains culturally sensitive and respectful in all client and staff interactions.
Participates in required staff meetings, collaborative meetings, trainings, County meetings, supervision, QA processes, and all other meetings and events as requested.

Job Summary: The Clinical Psychologist provides brief, consultation-based behavioral health services within an integrated primary care setting, conducting psychological evaluations, diagnoses, and evidence-based interventions in accordance with APA standards and MTF guidelines. This role collaborates closely with Primary Care Managers to support patient care through timely feedback, concise documentation, group services, and participation in multidisciplinary programs such as the Internal Behavioral Health Consultant (IBHC) model.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or
Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
License:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
Experience/Internship/Residency:
Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association. A one-year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine or
Possess one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems or
Possess two years of clinical work experience as a full-time Clinical Psychologist within the preceding three years.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
Deliver brief, consultation based services to patients and PCMs using an integrated care model. Services provided are standard and mimic the structure, function, and pace of primary care (i.e., psychotherapy or other specialty care psychological assessments are inappropriate and therefore prohibited). The PCM is ultimately responsible for the patient's health care plan and makes the determination on how the HCW's recommendations might be integrated into the PCM's plan for the patient.
Provide timely and succinct feedback to primary care physicians regarding consultations findings and recommendations.
Determine the appropriateness of the patient receiving services in the primary care setting and assisting with implementation of treatment plans.
Formulate behavioral health interventions appropriate to primary care setting and assisting with implementation of treatment plans.
Provide brief follow ups, including relapse prevention education.
Develop, teach, and provide oversight for classes that promote education and skill-building to enhance psychological and physical health.
See approximately 8-14 patients a day.
Provide concise documentation of care and recommendations in patient s medical record in no less than 24 hours after the patient is seen.
Participate in group medical appointments including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA) as requested by the PCM.
Provide technical direction and clinical insight into relevant projects being conducted at the site of service.
Work Environment & Schedule: Monday to Friday 0600 to 1800
Compensation & Benefits: Up to $179,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to join our dynamic team at Opsam Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing SUD services, hold licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist, and be passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to underserved populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Assess patients utilizing the ASAM to identify patient's needs, obstacles, liabilities, strengths, assets, resources and support structures.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, goals, and recovery stage.
Provide individual therapy sessions focusing on SUD, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
Lead group therapy sessions that promote skill-building, relapse prevention, and peer support.
Offer family counseling to educate and support families affected by a loved one's substance use disorder.
Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve recovery goals.
Integrated Care Services:
Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and case managers to provide integrated care that addresses both physical and mental health needs related to substance use.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Provide education and consultation to medical staff on best practices for identifying and addressing substance use disorders in a primary care setting.
Assist patients in navigating healthcare systems, including accessing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), mental health services, and other supportive care.
Advocate for patients by coordinating with internal and external agencies, including housing services, social services, and legal support, to address social determinants of health.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Opsam's policies and state and federal regulations.
Ensure compliance with privacy laws, including HIPAA, to safeguard patient confidentiality.
Stay informed of changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines related to SUD services behavioral health services.
Professional Development:
Attend regular training sessions, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices in SUD treatment.
Participate in supervision and peer review meetings to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure.
Contribute to program development by offering input on best practices and new initiatives for enhancing SUD services.
Train Opsam providers on SUD and Co-Occurring issues as needed
