District Medical Group, Inc., (DMG), a large multi-specialty faculty practice group is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work in the Valleywise Health Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix.
At Arizona's only nationally verified burn center, you would be part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical and behavioral health professionals that treats thousands of patients each year and provides the highest level of patient care from initial treatment through rehabilitation. This is an academic setting with opportunities for participation in research. DMG and Valleywise Health are core partners in the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with a weekday work schedule.

Candidates for the position of psychologist for the Burn Center must have a degree in clinical psychology, expertise in health psychology, and be licensed or eligible for Psychology licensure in Arizona. The psychologist functions as an integral part of the burn care team, participating in daily rounds with the rest of the care team and providing inpatient and outpatient clinical assessments and therapy. Experience in providing psychological care in a medical setting is preferred, as is expertise in treatment of post-traumatic and pain conditions. Clinical research experience is beneficial, but not required. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; be able to work with other caregivers as a team; be able to assess and treat individuals of all ages; and be willing to participate in the education of a variety of learners (medical students, nursing students, PA/NP students, surgical and ED residents, EMTs, military medics, firefighters, etc.) encountered on the Burn Unit. Faculty appointment is available at the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Phoenix.

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a psychology associate to help support the Contracted Healthcare Provider (CHP) in meeting contract compliance with the healthcare contract and other regulatory guidelines. The Psychology Associate will work collaboratively with other mental health professionals and contribute to the development of treatment strategies, help implement treatment plans and assist in research for inmates within ADCRR.
Job Duties:
- Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss inmate cases, share insights and coordinate care across disciplines
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and research projects aimed at enhancing the delivery of healthcare services within the correctional facilities
-Provides education to CHP Staff on crisis intervention and support to inmates experiencing acute mental health crises, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning
-Provides guidance and support to correctional facility staff on contractor-related matters
-Conducts comprehensive chart reviews and provides feedback on quality of care for managing and treating patients
-Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of clinical assessments, evaluation and treatment plans, and other relevant records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
-Supports the collaborations with contractors, external healthcare providers and community resources to coordinate continuity of care for inmates transitioning from correctional facilities to community settings
-Participates in meetings and committees
-Helps draft policies, protocols, processes, reports and benchmarks to further enhance quality assurance and timely access to care
-Participates in the development and implementation of effective and efficient standards
-Provides recommendations on updates to existing clinical practice guidelines and policies and procedures as assigned by the ADCRR Medical Director, Dental Director, and Mental Health Director

Job Summary:
This position is eligible for a $5,000 hiring incentive.
The Recreational Therapist 3 is involved in planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating therapy programs for assigned work unit consisting of one or more special population groups which may involve supervising professional and/or paraprofessional staff. This position also provides direct therapy and/or instructing others in techniques of treatment and activities of continued care, performs public awareness and informational activities, maintains records, and prepares reports.
Job Duties:
• Planning, organizing and implementing recreational rehabilitation therapy treatment services both on and off-campus (as appropriate)
• Conducting individual and group therapeutic treatment modalities, including escorting patients to and from therapy sessions in addition to being certified as a 12- passenger van driver
• Evaluates patients and completes recreational therapy assessments on a referral basis.
• Documents treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in patient records as needed.
• Attends and reports on patient progress in the interdisciplinary treatment planning and review conferences
• Consults with interdisciplinary team members, as appropriate regarding individual patient care.
• Collaborates/provides partnership with community agency caregivers (as defined) and represents the Hospital in a positive and professional manner.
• Monitors patients' educational and community agency participation progress in collaboration without community agency providers.
• Submits written and verbal reports as defined which may include formal employee evaluation, training and personnel documentation.
• Participates in special projects and hospital wide committee membership.
• Maintains office equipment, facility environment in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

Note, and Art Therapist Registered requires a Master's Degree
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR and NVCI certification
• A State Hospital employee must be able to obtain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1758.07.
