Under the direction of the Team or Clinic Manager, the Physical Therapist administers physical therapy in accordance with state law regarding the practice of physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Physical Therapist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his/her department - pediatric through geriatric. The Physical Therapist must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span; possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status; interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs; and to provide the care needed as described in the Outpatient and Physical Therapy policies and procedures. Type of supervision exercised: functional supervision of PTA's and support personnel during clinical activities. Jobs reporting to this position: PTA's and Aides. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a school of Physical Therapy approved in the year of graduation by the American Physical Therapy Association required. Position involves bending, reaching, and stooping (occasionally in strained position) throughout shift. Ability to transport self throughout facility is required. Must be able to travel as required. MHY strives to meet the changing needs of at-risk youth and their families through a practical and holistic approach to treatment. Youth and families have the opportunity to learn skills that help them manage and cope with trauma-based issues and to re-engage with home, school and community. Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Related Masters degree, and demonstrated experience in youth direct care services required. Must be 21 years of age with current Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances. Current PA state drivers license with an insurable driving record required. Must possess demonstrated PC skills including common MS Office applications. PA licensure preferred. Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the CEO or Director.
