Job Type: Contract Responsible professional work delivering therapeutic interventions including individual/family interventions and/or behavioral interventions to youth and their families. Primary clients access services through the Family Services Initiative of the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas. Individuals participate in the organization's continuous quality improvement efforts. Must be Bilingual (i.e. English and Spanish) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follows all Program and JWB guidelines, standards, and procedures in regard to privacy, access, clinical care, and documentation. Develops and implements effective service plans designed to improve emotional problems and reduce behavioral problems. Ensures that plans developed are appropriate to the ages and populations served and includes input from the client and family. Provides hands-on support, training, and mentorship to families. Delivers therapeutic services using a multi-model approach on an individual and family basis to include when appropriate, behavioral modification techniques. Service delivery may occur in-home, in-school, in-office, or in the community based on family need. Schedules regular visits with assigned client/family. Provides on-going assessment, evaluation, treatment, discharge planning and other services as required. Completes accurate and timely clinical documentation of the highest quality and consistent with agency standards, rules and regulations. Completes required assessments, treatment plans, closing documents, and progress notes. Monitors the overall course of services for the client and family consistent with service plan and revises plan as needed. Communicates with System Navigators from partner agency and other providers providing services to families served. Attends agency and required training as directed. Attends Monthly QA Meetings or follows up on meeting topics when absent. Participate in all Continuous Quality Improvement activities as required including program assessment, monitoring, and reporting. Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check and sexual predator screening. What we're looking for Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P LPAT), or similar field required. Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. License: Current unencumbered certification/license/registration required per state of practice guidelines.
