Referrals to the Developmental and Behavioral Health Clinic will come from other Children's Mercy Wichita medical specialty clinics and from the community. Common referral concerns will include inattention, learning/academic difficulties, developmental and intellectual differences, depression, anxiety, and disruptive behavior. In addition, psychologists will provide support to youth with chronic health conditions, including promoting adjustment and coping and addressing nonadherence to treatment regimens. Medical subspecialists currently onsite at our existing Wichita clinic include endocrinology, cardiology, and nephrology, and we will be expanding to include allergy, neurology, rheumatology, psychiatry, psychology, and pulmonology.
