Marc Casper has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific since October 2009. He joined the company in 2001 as President of the Life Sciences sector of Thermo Electron. He was named Senior Vice President in 2003, and in 2005 assumed responsibility for all of the company’s operating divisions. After the merger creating Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2006, Marc was named Executive Vice President and President, Analytical Technologies, and in 2008 he became the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, Marc served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Kendro Laboratory Products. Previously, he worked for clinical diagnostics provider Dade Behring Inc., where he served as President - Americas. Marc began his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and later joined Bain Capital.

Marc earned an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of Wesleyan University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in economics. He serves on the boards of trustees of Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Wesleyan University and the board of U.S. Bancorp.

Ryan Snyder is an information technology executive with a proven record of leading combined IT and business operations teams. Diverse experience spans multiple industry verticals of varying sizes and stages of growth.

Currently, Ryan is the Vice President of the Customer Channels Group (CCG) at Thermo Fisher Scientific as of February 2014.

Prior roles included software development, sales, and support. As an IT Leader at General Electric he led many global teams of IT professionals. His success in leading those teams was largely due to his fostering a strong understanding of the business’s needs. He developed partnerships between IT and general managers that focused on cost based transformation of both staff and structure within their businesses. The majority of the staff and IT systems that he managed at GE maintained manufacturing and ERP in the Industrial and Energy sectors. At Invitrogen (later Life Technologies) he was chosen to lead the Commercial IT team supporting intense revenue growth. Responsibilities included leading IT teams for pricing, crm, sales and marketing reporting directly to the CIO. Most recently Ryan held the role of eBusiness Operations Leader at Life Technologies where he reported directly into the Commercial Organization and was responsible for leading a world-class eBusiness team’s operations, including www.lifetech.com. The combined eBusiness team of marketing, IT, user experience, sales, and analytics professionals became the benchmark for Life Science digital delivery.

Ryan has an MBA with a MIS concentration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
