The Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician II will problem solve, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on GMP packaging and serialization equipment. How will you make an impact? * Assist operators in equipment set-up, start-up, and continuous operation. Including but not limited to changeover of the production equipment related to format and serialization. * Build and write work instructions, setup instructions, preventative maintenance tasks. * Actively influence training of employees on various packaging equipment. * Assists operators, engineers, and supervisors with equipment installation, provide suggestions for modifications and continuous improvements! * Validate and verify operation of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operation conditions. * Maintain equipment files and document maintenance activities in compliance of SOPs and Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP). Ensure compliance of Preventative Maintenance. * Identify and order equipment parts as needed. * Actively participates in problem-solving sessions with focus on safety, quality, and driving efficiency improvement actions! Analyze equipment, develop and implement solutions. * Knowledge of electrical: ability to diagnose control circuits, drives, PLC experience preferred but not required. * Handle numerous projects simultaneously. * Active participant and recommend solutions to monthly safety, quality and efficiency meetings. * Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and 24-480v controls. Education: * High School Diploma or GED equivalency required Qualifications: * 1 years Maintenance Technician experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Facility, Warehouse, Commercial, or other related industry preferred. * 1 years experience in pharmaceutical production and/or packaging preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Ability to read/understand piping and instrument diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment assembly drawings and other equipment related documentation. * Job may require wearing of NFPA 70E personal protective equipment as well as Tyvek coveralls and different styles of respirators. * Interpersonal skills to communicate in a team environment. * Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to work overtime as needed and be available on an on-call basis as needed. Minimum Requirements * Minimum requirement 2 years of experience as an Engineering Tech, or a 2 or 4 year skilled trade certification. * Manufacturing process experience * Basic Problem-Solving Skills * Working knowledge of the following fundamentals: Project management, Dishrack Department or similar Support Operation processes that include welding, forming, and trimming of metal/wire products. * Demonstrated ability to manage LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and lead safety initiatives Preferred skills and experiences * Education & Experience: 2-year Associate's degree in engineering or progress toward a degree. Experience with resistance welding, wire forming machinery, extensive mechanical knowledge, and design ability. * Technical & Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks/3D Solid Modeling. Experience creating working drawings, including GD&T. Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office suites. Ability to use or learn SAP, data acquisition systems, P2P, and exposure to robotic automation. * Manufacturing & Process Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques in a Lean Manufacturing environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Understand and apply safe working practices in the lab, including PPE and ESD equipment Setup test equipment, data acquisition equipment and power supplies Test, Troubleshoot, and Repair electrical/electronic circuits and (test) equipment Fabricate and assemble PCB assemblies, wire harnesses, electrical circuits and prototypes Read and interpret technical/electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams Gather test data, formulate conclusions, and write test reports Analyze failure modes and recommend improvements Specify and purchase electrical components and equipment Support 5S+1 and other waste elimination activities Who You Are: You are proactive and readily act on new challenges. For This Role, You Will Need: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, or High school and 3+ years of relevant electrical/electronic work experience, preferably in a (but not limited to) laboratory, diagnostics, troubleshooting, or repair environment/function. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: 4+ years of relevant test laboratory experience Familiar with laboratory test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies, data acquisition equipment (e.g. data loggers) Experience with hand soldering through-hole and SMT components Experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio Knowledge of programming languages like LabVIEW or C/C++ Experience with practical problem solving and root cause analysis Perform basic electrical calculations for equipment and test setup, test validation, troubleshooting, and repair purposes Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Cellular technology Experience with PCB layout software and SMT equipment: Print, Pick/Place, Reflow oven Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures and regulations. Continuous Improvement and Correction Action * Update and item creation on internal quality systems i.e. Quality Issues, Corrective and Preventative Actions, Supplier Cost Recover, Supplier Ratings, Dock-to-Stock Database and First Article Inspection Reports. * Lead or participate corrective action activities in both production and office setting. * Create and revise video work instructions for various functions and departments. Other * Assist with internal audits of the ISO 9001 Quality System. * Update and distribution of quality system documentation. * Support and participate in Lean, HPT and Kaizen activities. * Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitate.
