How Will You Make an Impact?:
As a Material Handler II you will perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of materials and consumables at the Indianapolis packaging facility.
A Day in the Life:
* Check materials and goods for distribution against purchase orders or invoices and maintain associated records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
* Review orders, stock, and distribute products and materials per the daily schedule.
* Package and prepare products and consumables for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
* Minimum of 1 year of work experience is required. Distribution, warehouse, supply chain or related field is preferred
* Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
* Complete daily tasks and learn new ones with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees.
* Great teammate who can complete tasks safely and timely and help others as needed.

What will you do?
This position directs the daily workflow for a small team under the direction of the site lead and/or supervisor, enabling the team to consistently deliver high levels of customer service in support of our contractual obligations. May oversee service offerings including but not limited to: order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, chemical tracking, glass wash, media/reagent preparation, and cell culture support operations.
Effectively lead a diverse cross-functional team of on-site lab specialists. Responsible for complete employee lifecycle management: new hire selection, identification of training needs and solutions, coordinating development training, and employee performance evaluations.
Deliver on committed contractual scope of work. Assist with supervising business metrics.
Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; Coordinate onsite vendor escorting and customer visits as the site subject-matter expert, and act as a resource to identify savings and opportunities.
Implement SOPs, conduct site audits, and assist with completion of annual physical inventory.
Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.
Be involved with and support safety programs such as hazard identification, conduct inspections and incident reporting/investigations as required.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
How will you get here?
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Military Service/Training in lieu of a degree may also be considered.
Experience
3+ years of progressive, proven experience required
Experience working in Good x Practice (GxP) environment and International Air Transport Association (IATA)/ U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Goods certification required, knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements are also a plus.

**A Day in the Life:**
Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
· Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
· Completes all necessary paperwork prior to job start up.
· Assumes responsibility for all activities performed within their assigned production room
· Assign all production personnel in the room to a specific task and ensures compliance with the batch paperwork by having them properly demonstrate their assigned task to assess competency.
· Completes in process paperwork in conjunction with QA personnel.
· Ensures adequate materials and supplies are available for the completion of the assigned production run.
· At job completion all materials are accounted for and documented ensuring
accountability limits specified in the SOP's are met.
· Participates and successfully completes required training sessions for Room Leaders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality, safety, etc.
· Verifies that accurate information is captured in all batch records within all relevant IT systems.
· Communicates any problems with the room to a Supervisor.
· Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
· Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with .NET 6+, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based inIndiana is $93,800.00-$140,675.00.

The Quality Engineer, as a key member of the Plant Quality team, focuses on improving
the Customer experience through product quality improvement initiatives by leading
systematic problem-solving efforts in collaboration with the Operations, Process
Engineering, Product Management, Marketing and R&D functions. This position
requires the ability to follow a structured problem-solving format, make data-driven
decisions, implement the solution and sustain the results. This individual will focus on
improving the quality management system by ensuring all standards are followed and
new standards are defined where needed. A successful candidate would have strong
problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
● Lead quality projects to support the plant quality strategy, improving and reducing
Customer claims and internal losses.
● Provide daily quality support to the Finishing and Coating teams through internal
quality issue investigations and product disposition. Lead cross-functional teams
through the investigation of the internal quality issues, execute the containment
plan and plan accordingly to address the root cause of the quality issue.
● Lead Customer quality problem-solving effort from investigation, list of
hypotheses & evaluation, root cause analysis & implementation of robust
solution, to reporting the progress to stakeholders on a regular basis with clear
communication on status, findings and next steps. This includes Customer visits
and Customer calls. Provide the corrective action plan as needed.
● Initiates supplier quality claims through the SCAR process, provides required
samples and data to suppliers and collaborates with operations, suppliers, and
the Divisional team throughout the investigation and root cause analysis. Lead
supplier calls as needed. Provide rapid updates to stakeholders on the progress
and next steps.
● Works with Procurement, Marketing, R&D and Process Engineering team
through the development and qualification of a new raw supplier and reports any
concerns impacting Quality.
● Provides support through site audit preparation, ISO 9001-2015 Internal &
External, Customer Audits days and support through assigned audit findings and
proper corrective and preventive actions per timeline.
● Creates, maintains and releases standard operating procedures, work
instructions and controlled and documented information through the AODocs
system (QMS system). Completes the document reviews per review period.
● Maintains and improves Quality metrics reporting tools
● Participates in the Plant MDI & MWI process and supports quality-related actions
● Works to improve quality management systems as required.
● Performs other tasks or project work as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
● 2+ years of experience in Quality or technical fields.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to connect
and influence at all levels of the plant, commercial and R&D teams.
● Attention to detail & organizational skills
● Experience handling multiple responsibilities with minimal direction.
● High degree of accuracy, time management and priority setting skills
● Data analytics for decision-making and problem-solving.
● Actively seeks knowledge, skills and experience in order to grow and develop
● Schedule flexibility to support operations as needed
● Previous Quality or Process Engineering experience preferred
● Understanding of applicable computer software and systems, such as Google
